    Location Breakfast

Wifi didn't work at all, even after calling to reception looking for a solution. Bed not for couple, two small beds placed together and they moved a lot during the night because of the wheels.

Location of the hotel is excellent for the place we wanted to visit in Madrid.

some times the WiFi access gave us problem but once log in it worked perfect.

Great location, right next to Retiro plus on a metro stop with two lines.

Wifi was good but you had to log in every 24 hours with a different password and request it again from the desk, so that was inconvenient.

position of the hotel, staff very helpful

price of the breakfast: 13 euros if booked in advance, 19 euros if taken the same day. really expensive

    Great location.

Cleaning was poor. The hotel itself is a bit pricey for the facilities offered and the non- existent view of the room.

    Excellent location and friendly staff.

Breakfast too expensive, deffinitively worthless. Many good and cheap cafeterias in the surroundings. Internet signal very week, and you are allowed to connect one device only.

    free internet needs more speed

Free wifi, staff speaks English, excellent breakfast. Nice neighbourhood.

Paying extra for room with a view gives you a view of the six-lane street; the hotel does not overlook Retiro park. Entrance looks very uninviting. Although everything is comfortable enough, the price is rather high.

Good size room with comfortable bed Good bathroom and storage facilities Clean and comfortable Good aircon Excellent breakfast Free Wi Fi Proximity of El Retiro Park, main museums and metro

No tea and coffee making facility in the room. We were told that only rooms with twin beds had a view of the street. Our room felt quite claustrophobic because of poor natural light. The hotel lobby lacks a welcoming atmosphere. Staff are polite and reasonably friendly when asked for information or advice but we sometimes felt we were walking into a morgue when entering the lobby. Probably needs re- designing but maybe also a more pro-active approach from staff.

Clean hotel, personnel was very helpful. Shopping streets right around the corner, city center at walking distance, and subway next door to the hotel.

Hotel location next to Retiro park; Close to metro station

Dark rooms- even during daytime it was necessary to keep the lights on.

This place is a rip-off. It advertises 'free 24hr wifi in all rooms', but what they don't tell you is that this is a 'teaser' service: download rate at just 256k (stoneage!!!) and - supposedly - a 100MB download limit... which appears somehow rigged (I left the BBC news page on my screen, went to the bathroom, and returned to find that apparently about 20MB had been downloaded in my 5 minute absence). In short, you get 30 mins of ultra-slow service, then a message saying 'get a proper service for 9 euros a day!'. Instead I went to Irish pub around the corner which had free wifi... which ANY DECENT hotel should offer. Avoid this cheating dump. (NB they also wanted to charge me 19 Euros for breakfast, probably what you would pay in The Ritz! I told them where to go!)

Room was clean and large. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms are big enough to put a baby bed (not in a separated room though).

People at the reception spoke a poor English. Not really accessible with a stroller (stairs to enter the hotel).

close to the city center and the biggest park of Madrid is behind the hotel

    even if internet was free, a limitation to 256kbit/s is not state of the art anymore; on top for business travellers, a VPN should not be used;
