This designer hotel has a gym and a seasonal outdoor pool. Barceló Costa Vasca is just over a quarter mile from San Sebastián’s Ondarreta Beach, next to Miramar Palace and Gardens.
Score from 956 reviews Good
The Astoria7 is themed around movies and the San Sebastian Film Festival. Each room offers free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV’s and is dedicated to an actor or director who has visited the city.
Score from 999 reviews Very good
Overlooking La Concha Bay, this grand 19th-century building is set next to the beach, on San Sebastián’s seafront promenade.
Score from 1477 reviews Excellent
Tryp Orly is in central San Sebastián, 325 ft from the famous La Concha Beach. It has spacious rooms with satellite TV and air conditioning. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast.
Score from 557 reviews Good
The rooms were very clean, comfortable and inviting. I slept very well and felt thoroughly refreshed at the start of each day. The hotel as a whole was perfect for my business trip. The breakfast buffet was top notch. The hotel is located a stone's throw from the beachfront and several quality restaurants in the area.
Wi-Fi was very slow, but this seems to be a common thread in all the hotels I stayed at in the region. Most of the time I relied on my phone's roaming data plan.
Everything was excellent.
3 km far from old city but several transportation possibility is available.
Close to the beach and a lovely walk round the bay to the old town. Probably about 40 minute walk, so wouldn't be to everyone's tastes. But helped us work of some of the millions of pintxos we ate! Staff were friendly and helpful.
Noticed some black marks on my bedding. It was clearly laundered bedding so I think this must have been a permanent stain (looked like bike grease or something). I didn't complain as I was about to have a nap and I wasn't bothered enough to go through all the upheaval involved in getting it changed. I just wanted a nap! But not really what you expect and I'm sure some people would go mental!!
Helpful staff Can walk to old town in 25 min.partly along the water Busses to old town one block over from the hotel Buss station 15 min away to connect to other cities.
The bed were a bit hard
The room in general horrible cafeteria and lunch-breakfastdt place. It's lower standards than the rest if the hotel
Some of the staff is rude
The beds and the place
Everything, great location and friendly staff especially. We had a cancellation on the day and they didn't charge for the room, very appreciated.
As long as you get organised (bus or by foot) this is just fine. The old city is walkable or a very easy and cheap bus ride. Ask the desk - bus every 10 minutes so. The pinxos in SS is just superb, go for it
Immaculate and spacious room with massive, comfortable 'Superior Double' bed. Modern, clean bathroom (including shower) facilities.
We weren't given the hotel's wifi details on arrival. When we later phoned reception to get them, the details provided didn't enable us to connect to the network.
Breakfast good - gluten free options available Hotel parking Good room size Good quality linen Good shower Close to beach 30 mins walk along beach to old town Choice of bars next to hotel
Wifi availability patchy
Professional and available staff. Quite and pleasant room.
Large comfortable room and modern bathroom.
WiFi infuriatingly slow when it even worked. Had to sit in the lobby to get online.
Compared to the Melia Sky in Barcelona I stayed three days earlier this is much better as services, room, breakfast, reception.
Wi-fi could improve. Loose connection many times, not too fast, need to reniew the account every 24 hours
Location. In the better part near Ondetta beach, a quieter more excusive area
Wifi cut outbiften
Smart hotel in a good area...nice room and good quality breakfast. Easy walk to the beach and into the old town. San Sebastian itself is totally amazing!!
WiFi is free for the slow version (and it is slow too) but you can upgrade to the faster version...that's a rip off, free was what I expected!! Parking at the hotel itself is ridiculously expensive, parking out on the street is so much less!!
Very comfort and nice clean and big room. Very good bearkfast
Noisy , celebrations every day till 2200 hour
Lovely Room Near the beach
Unwelcoming check in Long walk to centre of town
Hotel was very good, but the attitude to wifi was disastrous, and it is hard to believe that this is a Swiss chain. Wifi today is as necessary as electricity, yet this hotel offered "free" wifi which did not work at all and for which one was given a separate username and password FOR EACH DEVICE for a period of 24 hours (so if you were staying at the hotel for two days you had to go down to the desk and ask them to print out two, three, or four more usernames and codes on the second day!!!!) There was an option to "upgrade" to stronger wifi for the princely sum of €9/day. This is just pure greed, plain and simple.
Nice hotel, nice rooms and excellent service at the desk and breakfast room.
Miserabable lady at the bar which didnt make you feel like coming and have another drink. The room wasn't cleaned very well, our drinking glasses were still dirty till we mentioned it on our third day to a cleaner.Hairs were still found on the bathroom floor...We expected better service!
Spacious room, very clean, breakfast good. Staff advice excellent. On road parking easy and safe, advice from reception , so saved 34€ on 2 day parking. 40 mins walk to centre or 3.30€ for 2 on bus, every 8 mins
Wifi only near reception.
Excellent beds and bedroom lighting Soft close doors, no traffic noise, blackout curtains Can eat breakfast across the road Can park underneath the hotel, though costly, or park in the street outside and pay. Away from the crowds but a lovely 20 minute walk along the sea front into the town.
Nothing. Everything was great
Good size room with good facilities. Great shower. Good bar & restaurant. Good breakfast selection. Safe parking. Staff very helpful.
Not in the centre of the town but was a quick cheap bus ride away. A minor quibble.
Location close to beach and restaurants. Breakfast wide ranging and good. Bacon slightly crispy! Underground parking but pricey!
Staff attitude at reception. I asked why they were so unfriendly and excuse was because not much english spoken. I suggested that smiling would help. Porter twice failed to offer support with bags. No exercise facilities.
