Good placement.

Prices are very high for this level of service. NH hotels were very nice once, some years ago when we found them, they really cared for their guests. Now they have a deal with airline companies and they get the best rooms. What's left is given to the rest of us, tourists. Their receptions are always full with pilots and stewards, you have to wait in line for the smallest thing. We got a suite and it was probably the worst suit they had: no windows. Actually a small prison like window for a 75sqm suite that didn't help telling the time of day. Internet access is a huge luxury also, in this day'n age.

Clean room, helpful staff, good location. Nice roof pool.

Family room was good but combined bathroom/wardrobe space was a strange and cramped design. Very noisy plumbing system from neighbouring rooms.

Location good and the room was modern and nicely designed, however . . . .

1) Bathroom dirty and bathtub broken. 2) Hotel desk unhelpful, unwelcoming and impolite. 3) Overpriced room wifi: 10 euros per 24 hours. System was down for half our stay. Bathroom supplements were dirty. shower cap had been used. There was used toothpaste/shower cream on the other complimentary items. On asking for a new shower cap, no apology from front desk was given. Bathtub tub was broken, and needed to be fixed. Even after fixing, it was impossible to use the bathtap without running shower at same time. Again, no apology offered. After having paid 10.60euros(!) for 24 hours of wifi, I rang to complain that I was unable to log in. I was told "its not our problem - you can try to call the wifi helpline on the recipt we gave you". An hour later - still no wifi - and I am told at the front desk "the whole hotel system is down" you need to wait an hour or so. No apology given. in summary AWFUL FRONT DESK SERVICE AND UNCLEAN / BROKEN BATHROOM FACILITIES. For a four star hotel, the front desk in particular had a shockingly poor offhand attitude - by far the worst I;ve ever encountered. Even the dirt cheap hostels I stayed in as a a student bbackpacking around Europe had more professional and service oorientated front desk staff!!! AVOID.

Excellent rooms - clean, quiet and efficient air conditioning, large comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast buffet with helpful staff and a nice pool with a sunbathing area on the roof.

Staff on the reception desk could have been more attentive and helpful to the guests.

I did not expect the hotel to be as amazing as it was...the rooms are huge with fabulous city views...pure luxury superb location! I will be back! :-D

Everything from the beginning till I left!

I think the room service was perfect. The location was perfect, it was at the heart of Barcelona and the staff was very very kind.

The only problem for us was the noise from the other rooms

Nh Calderon is a modern and clean hotel with all the necessary facilities, located close to La Rambla - where we wanted to be.

Spacious rooms, very comfortable installations, good A/C for the Barcelona summer.

Extortionate pay WiFi and quality and choice of TV channels is pathetic for a hotel of this standing and these prices.

perfect location for shopping and sightseeing. well linked to city transport and close to airport bus. we arrived quite early and were given a room immediately, very helpful. hotel has good restaurant and is near a wide variety of other cafes and restaurants.

internet access quite expensive although wifi is available free in lobby if you take your own computer.
