NH Cartagena  

The best part was the location of the hotel. It is just a short walk from the harbour and easy access to shops and restuarants. The parking facility was also very good.

Disappointing was the fact that when we arrived we were advised that if we wanted a sea view we had to pay another 20 euros per night. If you look at the website on the superior room we booked, there are 2 pictures on the room description which clearly show sea views. We feel this is a bad misrepresentation of what you are paying for and should not be allowed. It is very disappointing to have to have this sort of problem presented to you on arrival when we had paid the extra already on the basis we were sold it from the photographic description. Sadly, this also leaves us with concerns on the photograph descriptions on other rooms/hotels we would book with booking.com. We are currently looking at 2 hotels in Sydney and Hong Kong and hope we don't come across the same there.

The location of the hotel was superb, close to the port, the many restuarants and shops. Our room was small though very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We were pleased to have a kettle! Due to our ealy flight we didn't have breakfast.

Reception staff at check-in were efficient and courteous. Wonderful location, close to the waterfront and shops, restaurants and bars. Design of hotel; it sits harmoniously beside other renovated buildings. View from room (premium double) was spectacular.

Room was adequate, but small. Reception staff at check-out were less than friendly. Bulb missing from bathroom light. Parking expensive.

The rooms were fashionable

It took us at least 15 minutes to be booked in. Our room looked onto a stone building which was very disappointing - we did expect better

Free tea & coffee in room. Break fast was good

-Rooms doors need to be adjusted, door close fast & that cause door to make noise while it's hit close. - Free WiFi is annoying due to new internet password every half hours

There was only one thing missing. Free wifi in the hotel room. Needed to go to the lobby if I wanted to use internet. Other hotels supply free WiFi in the rooms. Otherwise very happy with staff and accommodation.

Location Close to restaurants and promenade and harbour

Took to long to book in as only one person at reception and a long queue formed. Small milk cartons in room for English tea would be useful and when we asked for milk we could not be served. We obtained some milk from a local cafe.

The location is excellent for visiting the historic centre and has reserved car parking. There are many bars and restaurants close to the hotel and the tourist bus and boat excursions leave from nearby too.

There is no air con in the bathrooms although the air con works well in the bedrooms!

We like this hotel as it is very central both to the marina and the main street,also it is a modern hotel.

Great location for sea front, tourist bus, tourist boat, shopping & restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. Air con worked well in bedroom.

The bathroom was too hot as air con only worked in bedroom. Breakfast was pricey so we ate in nearby cafe instead.
