NH Master  

We loved the complimentary bottle of champagne given to us to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. It was a lovely surprise waiting on our bed when we arrived. The room we booked was a deluxe room which was more than deluxe..it was luxurious. The room itself was well designed with the room being modern but not losing its home feeling. The selection of bathroom toiletries was great, it went beyond just shampoo and soap but it also had toothbursh, shaving set, sewing kit and many more goodies. The hotel staff was also very freindly, informative and spoke great English. Letting us use thier umbrella instead of selling us an umbrella during a rainy day was a nice touch. The breakfast selection was spot-on but dont expect bacon and eggs, the breakfast is very spanish with selection of hams, pastries, cheese and fruits. The airport bus also stops nearby, about 10-15 minute walk.

The only drawback is that it is a bit of a walk to major tourist destinations but if you are like us, we enjoyed walking and discovering hidden local gems such as local bakeries, restaurants and tapas bars. So this was not a problem. We would stay here again.

When I have arrived to the Hotel I was welcomed by hospitable hotel staff who helped with almost any needs like travel information, places to visit, eat and drink, transportation, etc. The Hotel is not very close to the city centre (Pl. Catlunya). However, you may reach to metro station by 5 minutes walk which leads to acess almost everywhere in Barcelona.

The staff were friendly and helpful if asked. A free map of barcelona was provided also. Rooms were cleaned daily. Nice toiletries provided. The hotel would be fine for business travelers, but not for a romantic break. Hotel is affiliated with a taxi company. Not situated too far from a metro stop 7 min walk.

Very far from la ramblas 20min walk to reach the top of la ramblas. Mould along bathtub and ripped bed sheet. No tea or coffee facilities in room. Bar is not a proper bar, no music, no beer taps, no atmosphere! Very few English tv channels - bbc news and Eurosport.

I like the silence of the neighborhood, even closing the two widowsin the room and no noise, i like the tv))), the room is fantastic, the parker in the floor with that dark black, the bathroom is ok for a single room, i have all the accessories just in case from the hotel, like foam, gel, shampoo. The clean service is good, they clean all,and the sheets where clean also. I didn't use internet because i had a mobile and the starbuck is at 10min walking. The staff are really good, they notice you are coming in and out. I like it, not Bad at all!!

Its a shame that the internet cost 10€ i think the 24 hours, but is a small detail in my point of view, the rest is perfect.

It is easy to get there and park in the street, yet only a 20 minutes walk to the Ramblas or 5 minutes by bus (Nos 14,59 or n12 at night)

The hotel reception staff were multilingual and always friendly. The hotel's location was fantastic.

The rooms are very noisy as there is no carpet in the hall. Buoy can hear every door, footstep and conversation.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and the ac made almost no noise which was great.

The front desk people were not very knowledgeable in the city of Barcelona. They only seemed to want to sell us the Touristy Bus Tour even if we were not interested.

Staff were attentive and courteous. Room was modern and clean. Location was great. It is a residential area that is near to many restaurants and sights of the town. Breakfast buffet was great. It was a typical European breakfast buffet of meats, cheese and fruits.

Standard room was tiny and faced ugly inner courtyard wall.

It is always difficult to trust pictures but this one was exactly what you could experience from pictures.I recommend the Superior room which is very big.But again if you are travelling with 2 elder people and a baby I suggest you choose a hotel closer to Pl. Catalunya without being at the square. This one was quite a walk.

I considered it a little far from all the attractions, when even to take the Touristic hop in buss you had to walk to Pl.Gracia which was many blocks away. Ok, one can always take a taxi or a subway but even to the subway station you had to walk 2 blocks to Hospital Clinic...again maybe for a couple with good time and no stress to walk it would be no problem.

Hotel Master is situated in example, very centrally located in barcelona. The street is very busy, try to get a room at a higher floor (there are six). We were upgraded to the sixth floor which room had a nice sunny terrace.

Internet is free in the room if you bring your own device, In the lobby there is a computer but then you will pay 35 cent a minute. And the printer is not working. The reception offers you free print then so check if the printer is still ok.
