This beautiful palace building is in the heart of Burgos, by the Arlanzón River and across from the cathedral. It has a sauna and fitness center. All rooms in the NH Palacio de la Merced offer satellite TV and video games. Wi-Fi is available for an extra fee. The NH Palacio occupies a 16th-Century building with a cloister. It combines natural materials with modern design. Modern art is on display in rooms and public lounges. The elegant restaurant offers international and regional cuisine, along with a wide variety of wine and champagne. The Palacio de la Merced is a short walk from the Plaza Mayor. We liked the position of the hotel and enjoyed the breakfast cooked especially for us. We didn,t like having to walk so far to room 230 when the hotel did not seem to be very full

Excellent location, integral secure car park. Very good breakfast. Staff marked down as ' fair ' because there were not enough front of house people to help with baggage etc. This may be because the hotel was quiet and it was a public holiday.

I enjoyed my short stay at this hotel. It was ideally sited close to all the historic places the city offers as well as the maze of side streets and plazas. The facilities were of a high standard and the underground hotel carpark was a useful and convenient asset.

Friendly staff, large room/bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Parking next door. Free wifi only limited to 30 minutes and in the lobby. Slippery bath.

Position for access to Burgos city centre and other sites and the helpfulness of the staff. Wifi in the lobby as well. Lack of activity in the restaurant in the evening of our stay and the fact that the parking at the hotel had to paid for despite a large underground car park.

Location perfect, five minutes walk to old town, beautifully restored ancient building, and quiet. Free gym and sauna. Easy to find and park, but see dislikes..... Car park under hotel and secure, but 18.50 euros a day. Breakfast also expense-account price, but a couple of good bars round the corner provide a better and much more economical alternative. Beware of room numbers ending ..10: they are adapted for disabled, and our toilet was high and uncomfortable to use.

Great location for visiting Burgos city centre, only a couple of minutes walk to the main tourist attractions. Comfortable clean room & a really good choice of breakfast. Parking at the hotel was quite expensive

La prestancia del edificio, su concepción como hotel de una agradable confortabilidad, y su encaje natural en un entorno histórico-artístico tan singular como Burgos dada su central ubicación en el casco antiguo, integrándose en la atmósfera gótico-medieval de esa preciosa ciudad, contando además enfrente con esa linda zona verde que traza el rio a lo largo de toda la urbe.

El Hotel está muy bien ubicado, el edificio principal es muy bonito pero nos toco una habitación en la parte de atras medio fea, la regadera estaba tapada. Lo que fue excelente es la atención de la señora del desayuno, una actitud maravillosa, ella sola atendía varias mesas y era de lo mas eficiente, lástima que no le pregunté su nombre para felicitarla por este medio. La Catedral de Burgos es una belleza y el hotel está a un paso.
