Its close to the ferry Port. The WiFi is not free. Its 'free' for 30 minutes and is so slow you would be lucky to read the news on the bbc web site. If your planning to use it for business foregt it. The reception is at ground floor, but most of the rooms are below this, so the reception is level 5. We were at the lowest point right next to the railway station, bit like a dungeon As soon as you arrive they try to upgrade you to one of the rooms above reception at a cost. This is a very ordinary hotel trying to be something it isn'T. The staff are rude and unhelpful.

I found this hotel to be very disappointing, It claims to be a 4 star and its not. The rooms overlook a railway and there is a lot of disturbance at night. The whole hotel is very dark and a bit spooky. Internet connection is free for 30 mins but you have to be in the hotel lobby, get real this is 2012! its a bit like not having a phone in your room! My bedding was moth-eaten with a lot of holes in the sheets Restaurant didnt open till 9pm for evening meals, a bit tough for those that have been up since 6am travelling all day, frankly not everybody likes to eat that late. Very run down area and not to be recomended - didnt feel that safe out on the streets, the local supermarket could have been Fort Knox, Rubbish choice of local restaurants, lots of cheap bars with tapas

Location for ferry back to portsmouth from Bilboa ideal (about 10 minutes away). Hotel good, and restaurant food was good, and food arrived promptly, though had to wait a while to pay the bill. Parking available at the hotel. There was no WiFi available in the rooms, only in a separate lobby. Minimal options for eating away from the hotel, and some shops/restaurant were closed on Monday. If want entertainment, Bilboa could be a better option, though further away from ferry port.

Well situated for ferry to England. Good quality accomodation and good value at internet rate. Only issue was the high cost of parking; this is unfortunately rather common in Spain .

The restaurant has some restricted opening times meaning that it is not always possible to have a meal arriving after a long journey. However, the room service facility is available until late into the evening.

- Healthy breakfast (gluten-free products, fresh juices) - Staff serving the breakfast are very polite and customer-oriented - Free parking on the main street where the hotel is located (no need to use hotel parking) - Free fast wi-fi on the main lobby but you need to renew user and password every 30 minutes (may be annoying) - Hotel building is nice and some views are ok, there is a small garden in front of the hotel - Nice beaches in the neighbourhood (15 - 20 minutes by car) - Great location for visiting small port cities in the neighbourhood (Portugalete, Bilbao, Santurtzi - the location of the NH Hotel) and recommended for people who need to spend some quiet relaxing holidays. For the rest of you, book accomodation without hesitation in San Sebastian - an unique destination from all points of view, it cannot be compared with any other place on the coast between San Sebastian and Santander. - I hope bed blankets are washed every time a guest is leaving the room and the next one is coming in. I hope that happens with no exception, even if the guest stays one night only. I didn't feel comfortable at all having the blanket covered by bed sheet on one side only. - No attention to details and sloppy cleanliness in the corners of the room and of the bathroom at the shower, outside windows. Dirty curtains.

The location was very convenient indeed for the ferry. We stayed the night before catching the ferry back to England. The hotel is beautiful and only a short walk from the old town, with a range of market stalls along the harbour front. The rooms were comfortable and for convenience couldn't have been better. The garage parking on site was also very good, as we had a luggage top box on the car and didnt want to park on street. The staff were helpful, spoke english and recommended a very nice Basque restaurant a short walk from the hotel that was excellent - best steak we have ever had. Would stay here again. Only a couple of small points - the start time for breakfast at 8am was a little late for the ferry and so we werent able to have breakfast before setting off - a 7.30 start would make all the difference. There was also a very strong damp smell in the corridors, which wasnt very pleasant, although you couldnt smell it in the room. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Location and service. We were visiting Bilbao to go to the Guggenheim and had a car. I had heard about the difficulties of the road system so this hotel was brilliant - easy access off the motorway, garage parking for the car and a short work to the metro station into town. The staff were extremely helpful (took care of our luggage as we arrived early and room not ready). The hotel has excellent services is modern and clean with large well-equipped bedroom and bathroom. As we were in the city most of the day (returned on excellent metro system at 11.30 p.m.) we did not fully appreciate all the hotel services - however, it was reasonably priced so we did not feel we had wasted our money.

Everything was great, the hotel is beautiful and no noise from the outside could be heard (in spite of the nearby railway!). The breakfast was amazing, as well as the settings (terrace with sea view). The only thing I can complain about was the small places in the parking lot, which was poorly lit as well. The hotel was also not easy to find by the address given (had to ask in a bar for directions). But that was really minor compared to the excellent quality you get once in there.

The facility was beautiful, rooms were large by any standard and it was spotlessly clean. The staff at such an amazing facility seemed poorly trained. The simplest of questions would result in an "I don't know" response. Just asking for directions seemed challenging. No effort was made to make you feel like you were in a special place. The service staff did not match the facility.

The Hotel is clean and the staff efficient. A very unusual layout but room had the most magnificent view of the harbour and 2 easy chairs to enjoy it with. Parking secure and gave eay access to the rooms. The disabled access was excellent although not possible to use shower as it is over the bath. The bar food was over priced and to go into town required a taxi.
