NH Podium  

The hotel is in an excellent location, about a 5 minute walk to the playa catalunya and las ramblas. Its close enough to the action but in a quiet street. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The roof deck is wonderful and the pool is definitely an added bonus.

Upon requesting a move to a room that had a double bed as opposed to 2 singles we were quickly shooed away but the lady at reception and told the hotel was booked for weeks and that we just need to accept what we have - she told us this without even looking up. We then enquired if they had any restaurant recommendations they said there are absolutely no restaurants in the area and we needed to go to the port (the most touristy part of Barcelona). Overall this could be an isolated event but the front staff were quiet rude and unhelpful. They just could have handled things so much better. We later bought a book and found out that most of the citys good restaurants are within an 8 block radius - we would highly recommend Tapac 24 just a short walk away.

The hotel was around a 25 minute taxi ride from the airport which was extremely handy, it was also within walking distance of restaurants/bars/shops and just a 5 minutes walk from the Arc de Triomf. The staff were very helpful on arrival and provided maps and directions when asked. The pictures shown were exactly as the hotel appeared, the rooms were well equiped and very very clean! There are also taxi's which sit outside the hotel making it easy to get around the city.

Before travelling we had read reviews about how lovely the restaurant in the hotel was, however when we arrived and wanted to have dinner we were told it only opened 12-4 and after that it was just tapas available at the bar. We were disappointed as we really wanted to try the restaurant!! However there are lots of places to eat within walking distance around the hotel.

We liked the fresh and elegant design and the location of the hotel although the area was not lively for a city tour, but however close enough to Plaza Catalunya.

No free Wi-Fi in the rooms, only limited Internet access at the lobby. Poor sound proofing between the rooms.

The location is good.

I don't think the service is well, I expect more than that.

You'll have to pay for all the extra services (reloading of the mobile phone, late check-out 10EUR/hour, etc)

It was a clean and tidy suite

I did not think the location was that great. No free wi-fi in the room. Thought it was rather overpriced for what it was. Would not go the extra mile to make the stay special. If the place is for romance - forget it!

The location was excellent! Easy walking distance to all major tourist attractions but also in a nice quiet section of the city. Easy to get to courtyards and cafes, beach, parks. Rooftop lounge and pool also quite enjoyable.

The rooms were fine for a bunsiness trip

WiFi wasn't free. There is no way to iron a shirt before 8 o'clock and the hotel will not provide an iron and an iron board to your room.

Good attention to details,air conditioning could have been better,due to hard surfaces,sound did travel.the decor presented very well but there are problems with too many hard surfaces,a nice experience overall

Lovely comfortable room. Good design and clean.

Gym equippment was not working and there was no running machine.

Good roof, swimpool, terrace.

Not ever you can find a place near the swimpool. Internet only 30 min a day. Room cleaning was too far from perfectly. NO BALCONY in our room!!!
