Very nice staff even though their English was not that good. Close to the metro.

Small rooms. One fan in the ceiling, no air conditioner. Not the cleanest place.

Hostel was ok. The room has been cleaned every day. It would be useful to have possibility to make breakfast, but hostel recommend breakfast very near outside, so it's ok. Shower was divided with other people on the floor, but at the morning or afternoon it wasn't a problem. Staff is nice and helpful. I was looking for cheap hostel near the centre, so I didn't expect from the room nothing special. The most important it was to have clean room. From the hostel I could reach many places on foot.

    The location is very good.

There is no elevator in the building. And though the hotel is on the second floor - technically it's the fourth floor. Carrying a suitcase there was just awful. Wi-fi signal was rather poor.

The staff at reception were friendly and always there to give information when needed. Location was convenient as it is a short walk from a metro station and shops.

We found that having to climb 81 steps to our room after a whole day out sightseeing was not something we looked forward to. The room was quite small with a window that did not close properly. The was a sense of lack of security.

The location was good, along with excellent and friendly/helpful staff. Very clean, specially the toilets.

The fan in the room was absolutely useless. It did not give any kind of air at all. The hotel is really high. Almost 84 stairs to the third floor.

Location, on the end of the main and nicest street in Barcelona, if you don't mind walking a bit then it is perfectly placed, supermarkets nearby and also placed between sagrada familia, park guell, montjuic and the port. Fan in room was useful, clean and perfect for backpackers.

Lots of stairs to get to our room, it was ok for us but some people might struggle. Some of the staff did not speak English but you can get by.

    good location, nice smokin terrace

actually i dont write any references and it seems often that people are over reacting. but in this point, i dont understand how this pension could get any positive reference??? sorry but for this money, you can gut MUCH BETTER hotels in barcelona than this. the room was like a prison and had one window where you look into the nothing. thin walls, worst wifi ever ... im not petty but this hotel was the worst one i ever was and im really confused about all the good references ...

    Staff very friendly. Awesome location.

The only window in the room is on a hall, and the air that comes from that hall is hot and stinks. The fan (no air con) wasn't helpful as just moving hot air around the little room.

    Very clean, spacious room.

Whilst close to a metro station, the location is a good walk from the centre of Barcelona.

Clean, friendly, ok location, one of the cheaper places in BCN.

Very basic and quite dark rooms, only 1 shower on the floor, clogged sink in the room

It is on the 2nd floor, which means going up a huge staircase - 81 steps.

Near everything, subway, bus station. Also very close to the touristic spots.

There was no breakfast and also there was no kitchen were we could prepare our meals. There is a prohibition that you can not prepare meals at the room. So the price was ok but having breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks out made our staying too expensive. Totally no recommend.

The location is great. So nice to be away from the tourists... There is a nice little balcony / terrace thing. Rooms are nice and clean and overall I was happy there. The 24 hr reception is good - you never need to take the key out with you.

I was cold on the first night , due to no blanket in the wardrobe - there should always be one. The thing is I had to open the window as the room was stuffy and a bit stinky with it shut, hence need for blanket. Lots of stairs and no lift but I didnt mind that.

The room was kept exceptionally clean every single day; perfect location (30 minutes walk and 2 stops on the underground to reach the city centre); close to the two main attractions: La Pedrera and Casa Batllo. Good value for money.

The noise from the corridor was a bit annoying - I could hear everything what went on outside my room as if the door was open (e.g. doors being opened/closed, people going in/out of the shared bathroom, taking shower, people having loud conversations one floor down at the reception at 2am).

Friendly staff (but not all English-speaking), 24-hour reception, free WiFi, located on main road within a few minutes of Fontana metro.

Had to return key to reception whenever you left the building.
