We found the hotel ideal for its location. It was in the casco antiguo near the main visitor attractions, shops and restaurants to eat in for all price ranges. Its a fifteen to twenty minutes walk over the bridge, through the arches and Plaza Mayor from the bus station. The hotel is old but comfortable and in the quiter part of the casco antiguo. We found the staff friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage there and collect them later after we checked out. Price wise it was very resonable for us. It is an old hotel where some of its floors creak. Water leaked from the toilets at night that might keep people sensitive to noise awake.

Well located for walking around a very beautiful city. Very good value. Take your ear plugs as the Spanish are still lively and noisy in the early hours.

This hotel is a gem. Its large windows face a beautiful and lovely piazza, it is 5 minutes walking distance from the cathedral, round the corner there is a calle full of restaurants and tapas bar. The hotel was built at the beginning of the 20th century and the decor has fortunately preserved the taste of the era, a very gentle art deco. Yes, there is a very slight smell of cigars and cigarette in the lounge but it only adds to the charm. No smell whatsoever in my room which was spotless, big with a very spacious ensuite bathroom, a great wooden floor. As I said at the beginning the hotel is a gem, it is authentic, the managers are extremely gentle and helpful and it is a wonder it has only two stars! I highly recommend it. Breakfast is its weak point, not much variety and it doesn't feel as value for money.

A clean and characterful hotel in a superb location. Something refreshingly different from corporate blandness. No parking at the hotel itself but this was not a problem as there was a cheap and secure public car park nearby...you even get a discount on parking rates from the hotel.

Nice location in the pedestrian area of the city, however, easily accessible (by car) and not far from the parking garage (reduced rate for parking). Nice building but here and there needs a little renovation. Wifi doesn't work at 3rd floor and I need to go the lobby to access internet.

The location was really very good! Rooms were clean and neat. Since the hotel is situated on the "plaza" we had to leave the car a little bit further from the hotel. The problem was with wifi, it was working only near the reception but not in the rooms.

Lovely people running the place and location is excellent. The lobby area is historic in a good way - the bedrooms are historic in a bad way. Comfy enough, but a bit like staying in your old aunt's spare room.

Lovely hotel. Perfect location. Excellent staff. Very nicely decorated room. The hotel accepts school parties. Our first night we were aware of excitable children in another part of the hotel but were not disturbed. The second night, despite the best efforts of the hotel staff, we were kept awake for hours by a second school party with very naughty and noisy children in the next room. The third night there were no children at all in the hotel. It's a really, really lovely hotel but before booking again we'd check first to see if they had a school party booked in. We think the management need to decide where their core business is.
