Score from 643 reviews Very good
If you are not coming for a convention. Visiting town is a long walk to the Metro + some 20 minutes Metro ride/waiting to the center of town.
Proximity to the ferry terminal.
convenience, food, and friendly staff.
a little soul-less, bland décor and surrounded by commerce.
Easy to find. Proximity to ferry port. Good safe car parking. Good restaurant. Clean and comfortable room. Good value for money. Tea/coffee making facility in the room
Decor in common areas is a bit faded. Carpet in hallway of 4th floor was heavily stained in places. Mastic sealant around shower door needed replacement.
The room was big. Parking was easy to find. Very near the exhibiton centre and the metro was relatively close too. We had the smaller breakfast option and it was very good.
Slight odour coming from the toilet.
Convenience for ferry port Secure parking Bright, quiet room with fridge, safe and tea/coffee making facilities
Rude, unhelpful desk staff. Although perfect for overnight stay prior to early ferry, there is nothing else to see or do in the area.
Close to basketball stadium and shops
Paper cups,plastic glasses,no cutlery,no sugar,no porter
Was near to congres center
There were very few restaurants near the hotel
If you're going to Baracaldo or exhibition center, this is good choice. Big room with big bed (Queen room) with all facilities. Helpfull service.
Quite far from metro station. That 700 m (what is mentioned somewhere) is to the exhibition centers back door and Metro is on the opposite side of huge building. Breakfast is good, but also very expensive.
If you want to explore the city and visit the Guggenheim you need to take a bus and a taxi - about 30 minutes. Carpets in hallway on our floor were very stained and dirty.
We stayed at the Novotel Bilbao Exhibition Centre, out of town in a densely populated residential area. Not a pretty area, but the price was right. It's a bit of walk to the metro which takes you into the city, but the metro was very efficient. The hotel itself was OK, but the entry needed a bit of a makeover - all done in turquoise walls, and very dark inside. Our rooms were a decent size, with free wifi. It has a lovely pool area, and on our last night there we ate in the restaurant, and the food was very good.
Distance from town.
The area where it's placed is perfect for walking into town or going to the BEC centre, perfect for restaurants and strolls in parks.
I didn't like the price was a bit over priced for 2 nights but was still a great stay.
Close to metro. Comfortable bed, good price. Good breakfast.
Not the most picturesque location. Most staff were good, but one of the reception staff was a bit snotty.
I would recommend this hotel to people going to Bilbao for the Bilbao Exhibition Center. Great with both shower and bathtub in the room.
Expensive breakfast (14,90€/person, for both adults and children). Much better to go to the coffee places on the other side of the street, where you can find superb breakfast, for 4 persons, for about 25 €. No soul.
We were pleased generally with the room, and especially with the dining area and buffet style breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed the pool very much. We were able to park for free behind the hotel, only a few minutes walk from the entrance which was very convenient. The hotel is only a short walk from the metro station which ran very efficiently and was easy to use.
We booked a family room for 4 people and specified that we had a 10 and 12 year old. The booking online showed the sign for 4 people. However there was only a small sofabed to accommodate both our sons. Our eldest had to 'top and tail' in our bed and ended up sleeping on the floor. Hence we did not get a good night's sleep. The receptionist that booked us in was less than friendly, there was no smile or warmth and she even looked at her watch as I asked for information regarding our location on the city centre map, metro location and parking arrangements. We spoke to a different member of staff the next morning re the parking and he could not have been more helpful. Other than this all the other staff we came into contact with were excellent.
Breakfast was good but expensive. Children did not have to pay, so that was a plus.
Sofa bed for the children (12 and 10 yrs old) was 1.05 meters wide. This is way too small to have any kind of comfortable sleep. TV was outdated (old, no hdmi) and reception of even the Spanish channels was lousy. Pool was freezing cold and this was during the summer.
Beautiful hotel with nice swimming pool and good breakfast.
Booking.com said it was OK with 3 children but they refused and we had to pay an extra room (but at 50% discount and in a connecting room).
food, not the quality you would expect from spain.
comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast choice, flexible breakfast hours, helpful and efficient staff
Sofabed only suitable for one child... So for smoky of four you need 2 rooms Food expensive and average
Parking Friendly staff
One bathroom was smelly 625
accueil,confort chambres,restauration,parking acces direct hotel.Merci
Important :grilles clim tres sales qui generent peut etre cette odeur desagréable et tenace lorsque l'on est dans les chambres puis eau trop froide piscine en pleine saison.chambre 120 et 122
The hotel was very attractive and updated. The bed was the most comfortable of the 5 places we stayed in Spain. There seemed to be a lot of shopping nearby though we didn't take advantage of it. Location was out of the city proper so it was nice and quiet. I would stay there again if traveling with my family.
The food at the restaurant left a little to be desired. Maybe we were all tired but with a fancy looking place and very professional staff we expected better. That was the only negative...but it was better than the fast-food that was nearby.
Fantastic rooms and bathrooms - very clean and very quiet. Next to huge shopping centre but 15 min drive to old town which is lovely.
Other peoples' ill behaved children - mainly British unfortunately.
Close location to ferry terminal (good when ferry leaves early in the morning), friendly staff in restaurant.
Offered free Wi-Fi did not work as the provided credentials did not work, even after requesting two more. The milk for the tea/coffee in the room was expired since 10 months and came out as a lump - made me gag.
