The location is stunning and the staff were very helpful. The village has fantastic restaurants with lots of variety.

Fantastic position in the upper town, loads of lovely cafes and bars nearby, a good place to stay. With some parking, too.

Location was lovely,couldnt fault the staff,bedroom was very comfortable. Room service was good and quick.

No tea making facilities in the room. Bathroom was very out dated and had no heater so was very cold in the morning. Also the shower was over the bath with a shower curtain which was attached to the ceiling by a chain meaning you couldn't pull it back while having a bath. Carpet in the bedroom was not stuck down properly.

The setting - one side of a courtyard on a raised area above the town. The architecture and generous room and bathroom size. Excellent breakfast with a hot (freshly cooked ) egg and bacon option

What a charming little place! We were warmly welcomed, and given great suggestions for restaurants. This simple but very old building in the old town was wonderful. Good sized room with good amenities.

Enjoyed 6 days here before returning to Australia after a busy trip around Spain, great location in old part of town within walking distance of all places of interest. Charming historic town with some good restaurants and easy bus ride to nearby San Sebastian.

Lovely hotel, with character. Staff very helpful. Really enjoyed breakfast in the sunshine beside the fish pond. Would recommend.

Excellent location in a fabulous medieval castle in a walled medieval town. You can walk to great restaurants.

revisiting an old experience

hard to find by car a little and one is lucky to get a parking space

Everything was great. It is located in the center of the historic town.It is a lovely hotel. The front desk was very kind and helpful.

Breakfast was plentiful and very good but not budget friendly for large family.

It was a wonderful discovery. The town is charming and the hotel is in a superb setting. Excellent value for money.

The view from the room was amazing, service from hotel staff was great as was the local area.

No lift so taking suitcases was a little tough

Enjoyable breakfast.on pretty courtyard with friendly service. The same courtyard doubles up as a bar in the evening for sundownwers and digestives - we enjoyed this facility. Handsome stone property in quiet location with great views and a convenient walk to the festive atmosphere of the downtown avenues of tapas bars. Hendaye beach just across the water - ferry every 30 mins for1Euro 70. it is only a two minute walk for the bus to San Sebastian - costs 2 Euros and takes 20 - 30 minutes.

Our room 102 was rather small and overlooked the cafe square so not able to enjoy either privacy or the cool night air. Next time I would opt for a room on a higher floor with a little balcon either facing the view or mountains.

We had a lovely room with views over to France and also the square below. Very comfortable. The most delicious breakfast which we ate on our private turret! Great to wander round the town and down to the beach.Delightful staff who gave us lots of advice, especially about the Tapas bars! The local airport is close by but not many planes and didnt ruin anything for us. Well signed so no probs finding it. A delightful town with a bit of everthing

Thevfree Wifi would not connect , I was not the only one that was having problems.

Lovely hotel, old building, with lovely architecture in in old town, spacious comfortable clean room, would definately come back.

Good location and although it overlooked the runway, there were not too many flights per day, also just on the edge of the walled city and easy to reach, character building, nicely furnished

The ceiling in the bathroom needed to be avoided by my 6ft husband when trying to have a shave as it was a sloping roof, also it was quite a dark room right at the top of the hotel, having said that it was smallish but more than comfortable.

The hotel is fine if the Parador up the road is fully booked. Nice breakfast area.

No mini bar which was advertised. Not easy to find but neither is the Parador..

Excellent position. Superior grade rooms have terrace with lovely view over river into France.Rooms are spacious with good natural light and modern bathroom. Excellent hotel.

The hotel was in the charming old walled section of Honderribia close to good restaurants and bars. Also within easy walking distance of the Town itself. Loved the hotel and the town of Honderribia. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice .The hotel staff offer lots of information on the area.
