Originally a 14th-century convent, this beautiful, historic building now offers unique accommodations in the La Rioja region. Rooms are set around an impressive central lounge area with a glass roof. Individually decorated rooms at Los Agustinos come with satellite TV, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. They also include a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Located in Haro, the hotel is approximately a 30 minute drive from both Logroño and Vitoria-Gasteiz. Bilbao and the coast can be reached within an hour, by car. Creative Riojan cuisine is available in the Las Duelas restaurant and bistro. The hotel provides 24-hour room service. Comfortable. Limited English speaking tv programmes. Extremely disappointed in evening meal of "suckling pig". Pork was underdone - blood was on our plates. Pork needs to be well cooked. Husband and myself extremely ill through the night.

Not by any means the most ostentatiously luxurious, however one of the best and most enjoyable hotels in which we have had the pleasure to stay. Where else could you enjoy a bottle of Vina Ardanza, 2001 for €23.5???

The whole ground floor with the covered patio is absolutely amazing. Our room (regular double) was very spacious. Large tv. Service at the reception was very cold, no smile or friendliness whatsoever. The worst of all was the (non existing) isolation between the bathroom of our neighbours and our room. We could hear every drip that fell in their bathroom which is - to say the least - very unpleasant.

A very smart hotel at a very reasonable price in a central position for visiting the bars and restaurants of Haro. For those staying longer, Haro is the capital of Rioja and there are many opportunities for wine- tasting. Unfortunately because we lacked time we were restricted to the local "Simply" but were pleased to find a huge choice available (without tasting!). We chose this hotel because it promised a hotel car park. However, no spaces were available when we arrived at 16:00 and the surrounding streets were closed for a festival. Luckily we found a space to park not too far away. The staff were a bit too laid-back - I am still trying to pay the bill for dinner because the restaurant did not communicate with reception. I could have left without mentioning it!

Location great, central to walking all around town. This 14th century convent converted to a hotel is like a Parador property without the high price. Delightful! Directly across the street is the Office of Tourism who were very helpful in highlighting the things in town that were of our interest, beyond the wines and wineries.

The situation of the hotel is excellent. Also the court, the rooms are fantastic. We also liked the breakfast and the dinner. Very, very good! We would recommend this hotel to everybody who likes extraordinary locations combined with style. The staff working at the reception always seemed very stressed and answered in an unpolite way. Nobody told us that the garage costs 15 Euro per day... The traductions of the menu, instructions, advices...were horribly bad. The German for example...completly wrong. A hotel of 4 stars should really find a person who is able to traduce in a perfect way.

We were on our way from the Costa Blanca to the ferry port at Santander. The town of Haro is an ideal stopover point within an easy two hour drive of Santander. This avoids having to stay in the busy resort town of Santander when getting the ferry back to the UK. The hotel has a very good location in Haro. It is only a few minutes walk from the town. Probably the best location in Haro. Rooms were a very good size and very comfortable. The building is very old and has lovely abmience especially in the central plaza where drinks etc are served. Evening meals are also served in an area surrounding the central plaza. Reception spoke good English which was an advantage in a small Spanish town. The old central square of Haro has various bars and restaurants. This is especially nice of an evening time to stoll around. We had a Menu of the day. This could have offered better value. The house wine was also quite expensive.

The whole atmosphere of the hotel was fantastic. We had an evening meal which was excellant with really good service.The staff could not have done more to help; will go back next year for sure. Partly the contrast was with a very poor hotel in Teruel the night before- The Reina Christina.

The location was very good It is a grand old building with a lot of historical attractions. Such a shame that the interior is let down by some modern plastic fixtures and fittings, particularly in the main lounge area.The waiter on duty here was quite miserable, yet the reception staff were very helpful.
