Apartamentos Optimist Tenerife

This is a small complex compared to some of the surrounding buildings (3 floors high, around 80 flats in total, approx. 10-15 are owner- occupied). It has an 'Art Deco' (Spanish-style!) feel to it and we really liked it. It's secure (access to complex is by key), has a car park with barrier, a nice sunny pool (kids pool was closed off - yippee!) plenty of sunbeds, pleasant gardens with palm trees + volleyball & basketball courts. Nice big balconies (all overlooking the pool), well-equipped kitchen & bathroom. Mattresses were not great quality, but clean and tolerable. Free in-room WiFi & flat- screen tv (not a lot of channels, though). Great location - 3/4 mins. Walk to the pedestrian area with bars & restaurants and a further 1- minute stroll to the beach & promenade. Quiet at night - more suitable for adults than young families. We'll be back.

Small point - 4 Euros per day for the in-room safe is a bit excessive. We didn't bother as the place was secure enough as it was.

Very friendly check in and helpful staff checking out. The complex is secure and there is a night time security guard. The luxury apartments are well designed, equipped and clean. There was no noise at any time. Great location, close to a beautiful beach.

The apartment was exactly as described and we would highly recommend it. The complex facilities are basic though. There is no shop or restaurant in the complex. However, everything you need is within a minutes walk! It may not be suitable for families as there is no entertainment.

Central ocation. Clean and comfortable. Nice pool to relax beside. Good security.

I loved the apartment. It was absolutely beautiful, very spanish in style. I loved the location, very central but still quiet enough for resting.

I didn't like the fact that I was asked to pay 100euro deposit which would be returned at the end of the holiday if there was no damage. I'm not sure if this happened because I am only 26 and perhaps the manager thought I would be "trouble" but I was there with my fiancee for a break. I also felt that this was like renting a private apartment and not a hotel/apartment let as the towels were only changed once a week and the apartment had maid service only once as well.

Everything brand new; beds, furniture, washer, ironing facilities, oven. Nice terrace. Apartements facing Coral Suites are quite. Pick up at airport also nice. Close to "everything".

Pool way too cold even to us swedes, at its best +18, and a bit boring. In progress of a make over. When the pool really is heated we will probably be back.

no english instructions ie washing machine microwave. extreme difficulty using either.great large samsung flat screen with 260 channels but none are english

The apartment is in a good, quiet location not far from the beach and all amenities and is ideal for a short stay.

It should be made clear in the Important Information that a charge of 100 euros is made on arrival, payable by card or cash, and is refunded on departure if there are no breakages. Having stayed at many apartments for short stays over the years, this is the first time we have been charged in this way. I think the owner should look at whether such a charge is really necessary for short stays.

We felt good about the apartment was clean and nice. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful.It was very close to everything bath, center and Restaurants.Bus stop right outside the hotel. We will return soon to the same place already looking forward to it. Ulla-Britt and Owe from Sweden.

You get what you pay for. Budget hotel without all the mods + cons. Bit worn, but clean with a price that is fine, definitely not over-priced. Friendly and helpfull staff. Chose Optimist because of its placing between cristianos and las americas and the fact that i was dependent on internet while there to get some work done.

Unfortunately internet connection took a while to get working and after that could be a bit shakey at times, not net or disconnected.

Location was close enough to beach and entertainment. Fairly even (No big climbs) Staff were very friendly particularly the 2 Latviens

Had to pay a deposit of €100 against damage/breakages, I travel regular (3-4 times a year) and have not been asked for a deposit for over 20 years now. There was no detailed view of apartment on arrival so no small damages were pointed out and there was a constant fear that these would be used to deduct or hold back your deposit. No lifts and access to apartments was up and down steps with luggage (assistance was offered) No 24 hour reception, check-in took an age (no paperwork ready on arrival) Leak from toilet waste reported but only contained (siliconed base of toilet bowl) small but regular trickle of water from waste had to be mopped up after one or two flushes of the toilet. Nice television set but only news channels in english.

отличное месторасположение. всё (магазины, рестораны) рядом. закрытый и тихий жилой комплекс с бассейном. отдельный паркинг. очень душевный и приветливый персонал vap Tour.

окна спальни выходили на проезжую часть улицы. спать можно было только при закрытых окнах. возможно летом, при отсутствии кондиционеров в номерах, будет жарко.

Endroit génial, tout y est, piscine parfaite même si non chauffée.. sans parler du personnel, adorable , disponible et prévenant... C'est mon troisième séjour à Las Americas, mais je retournerai désormais à cet endroit...à recommander de toute urgence!

un peu trop de clés pour entrer et sortir..mais au moins on est en sécurité ;)

Erittäin hyvällä paikalla. Olimme varanneet Luxory-huoneiston ja ainakin se oli juuri remontoidun näköinen ja erittäin siistissä kunnossa kaikin puolin.Myös piha/allasalue oli siistissä kunnossa ja rauhallisen oloinen.

Wifi som var gratis, fungerade dåligt. Skulle ha varit uppvärmd pool, var ej. Lokaltrafiken var oerhörd störande, enkla glas i fönster. Sliten lägenhet

L'emplacement très proche des attractions tout en étant bien au calme. Le grand balcon. L'amabilité du personnel qui se surpasse pour nous satisfaire si l'on signale un problème.

Les prix des locations par rapport à d'autres établissements similaires pourraient être un peu plus attractifs.

Beliggenhet var var utmerket. Godt utstyrt leilighet.

Behulpzaam personeel, ligging T.O.V. diverse stranden, winkelcentra, uitgaansgelegenheden E.D. Er is 's nachts een beveiliger op het terrein. Altijd wel een plek in de buurt om gratis een huurauto te parkeren. Safe aanwezig tegen vergoeding.

Personeel gaf aan dat onder de naam "Vaptour" een aantal appartementen zijn overgenomen binnen het appartementen complex met de naam "Optimist". Vaptour appartementen hebben geen balkon in de zonzijde werd verteld. De afwerking is matig, wandcontactdoos hing 10 cm aan draden uit de muur. Ook stroomdraden in lampfitting zichtbaar. Er is vrij veel geluidshinder van de drukke straat voor het pand, ook laat in de avond, oordoppen helpen voldoende. Spiraalveren in matras enigszins voelbaar. We verbleven van donderdag t/m donderdag, er is niet schoongemaakt en geen nieuwe handdoeken tussendoor.

Faux descriptif : la chambre de luxe !Piscine non chauffée!! Lever la voix pour avoir un badge pour le parking , Le prix exagéré aucun service hotelier .Optimist n'est pas un hotel mais une résidence et Vaptour une agence de services qui loue quelques appartements classés 2 clés !une salle de bains désuète (douche avec rideau) un minimum de vaisselle,l'appartement en rez de chaussée toujours à l'ombre ! le dimanche un propriétaire a travaillé à la scie sauteuse jusqu'à 21h!

La dimensione della struttura, non troppo grande e su soli due piani, rispetto al resto fatto tutto di grattacieli

Il collegamento a Internet non funzionava o funzionava malissimo, non trovo sia corretto dire che c'è wi-fi in tutta la zona quando non corrisponde a realtà. La camera che avevo io si trovava sul lato vicino ad una strada dove soprattutto di notte c'era molto traffico di carico/scarico di un hotel vicino e siccome la camera da letto dava sul retro il rumore era insostenibile percui ho sempre dormito sul divano in soggiorno. La struttura offre parcheggio ma chiede un deposito di 100 euro come cauzione per l'appartamento e 30 euro come cauzione per il telecomando per accedere al parcheggio, informazioni che sarebbe bene venissero fornite al momento della prenotazione.

Huoneisto oli täysin remontoitu ja hyvällä maulla sisustettu. Makuuhuoneessa hyvät sängyt ja pehmeät täkit pussilakanoineen. Keittiössä kaikki astiat ja välineet hyvät ja siistit. Rannan ja ostoskeskusten läheisyys erinomainen.

Keittiö hyvin varusteltu. Pyykinpesukone ja siivousvälineet kuuluivat varustukseen. Huoneet hyvännäköisiä ja siistit. Sänkyt erittäin mukavia. Turvallinen, ovet ja portit lukossa, yöaikaan vartiointi. Kaupat, teatterit, merenranta lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä. Rauhallinen, yksityisyyttä tarjoava lomapaikka. Sopii hyvin pidempiaikaiseen majoitukseen. Hotellissa useita vakioasiakkaita. Hotellin vastaanotosta saa tilata vuokra-autot, polkupyörät, matkat ymt. Paikallinen virallinen luokitus kaksi avainta, mutta siitä huolimatta suosittelen. Siisti, hyvin hoidettu ja puhdas piha- sekä allasalue. Noutopalvelut lentokentältä. Mahdollisuus varata eritasoisia ja kokoisia huoneistoja. Ilmainen WI-FI.

Vastaanottopalvelut eivät ole käytössä aina viikonloppuisin. Huoneiden siivous vain kerran viikossa. Ohjattua toimintaa ei ole. Ilmainen WI-FI useasti erittäin hidas ja ei toimi huoneiston jokaisessa huoneessa esteiden takia.
