This is a very old and beautiful hotel, whose owner makes every effort to ensure you enjoy your visit.
There are few restaurants to choose from. The one recommended by the proprietor was good but very overpriced.
Location,free parking,free wifi.,
After reading excellent reviews very dissapointed.,allocated to rooms in the outer court yard.,cleanliness left a lot to be desired !!!found crumbs on carpet, toothpaste on all glasses in bathroom, the toilet brush !!!!Don't go there.,breakfast limited choice & quantity.,
Ecija is a lovely small town with numerous beautifully painted church towers. As you wander the streets you look through grilled gates into beautiful courtyard gardens and running water - you know that you are in Al Andalus, Moorish Spain. Ecija is a good base for day trips to Granada or Al Zahara, or a fine restored medieval castle. As for the Palacio, it was a wonderful restored old Palacio with a central courtyard with fountain overlooked by balconies. Our large, spacious well-appointed room opened on to the internal balcony - a very Renaissance feel! Our kindly, helpful host speaks English and is full of interesting information. The garden restaurant at the rear of the hotel was excellent and served a magnificent polpo (octopus) on a tomato and artichoke bed. On the website, the bedrooms all look very dark - which they are - but the velvet opulence is clearly designed to keep the rooms cool on hot summer days and the photos don't adequately convey the atmosphere. On street parking was not a problem. We hope to return!
This is an enchanting jewel of a hotel, a building full of interest and charm. A good welcome from the owner who also lives there, delightful patio garden, excellent rooms. A restful, relaxing place to stay
Nothing, we liked it all!
