All staff (both front of house and back stair) were cheerful, welcoming, eager to help make the visit the best you could have. The breakfast was a cornucopia of tastes and colour.
We could not find anything not to like about this visit.
The staff and management were first class. Polite and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent.
I did not like the new facility. The older building is beautiful. The newly built building is mediocre at best, and the lower floors felt like a prison.
no hot water on our night's stay
All of the people who work there are really nice and helpfull.
There is not any kettle or an iron.
spa availability easily able to book treatments plenty of choice for breakfast and hot breakfast available on request
no drawer space for clothes only hsnging space. We were in the new block which was very modern so this could have been the reason
my best experience in Spain. location is great. building and facilites are outstanding terrace gourdios - restaurant (great food) in the terrace, fantastic ambience staff is great, best service you can get in spain
nothing, everything was outstanding
Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. The garden is stunning. And the room size of Junior Suit is great.
There is one elder female staff I met when I checked out, who was rude and cold. But only her, others are great.
Loved this hotel. It is very central, but secluded within the lovely garden. The welcome to the hotel was friendly and personal (and getting the car parked is always a plus : ). We were lucky and got an upgrade to a Junior Suite, which is absolutely gorgeous. I am told it was the old library. Having a quiet drink in the comfortable sofas in the garden after a full day of walking, taking in the sights - and oh, yes, shopping - was bliss. Would certainly recommend this hotel to friends.
The hotel bar interior. It seemed sterile and had very cold lighting. Granted, normally you would sit out in garden enjoying the sun - but we had rain during our stay, and sitting inside in this bar was not that pleasent. The staff, though, were very pleasant.
Location and eligance
Hard to get to.
Staff could not do enough to help. From parking the car to having iced water ready for you.Hotel was a haven after a long day in Granda.
This is not about the Hotel but if you drive yourself its hard to get to the Hotel as there is a one way system that does not let you turn left.
Good location, helpful staff, lovely room
Room I stayed at was very poor looking. Furniture very damage. My room was opposite toilets for customers visiting hotel's restaurant. Hotel's Spa is not to usual standard of 5 star. When paying by my Visa card the staff made their choice of currency.
Location was good.
Not what I expected . We where surprised that restaurant and our room was at very modern part of hotel( not at the old romantic what you see pictures of hotel). Service was not too good and it was slow. Garden was not very clean and it was Expensive thinking what we got. I don't recommend hotel if you are not in to modern style.
All of the staff are very helpful. We are really appreciated with them to take care our car and languages. The room is spacious ,tidy, clean and comfort. We like the breakfast most. It's a champagne breakfast with ordered breakfast if you prefer. The hotel also provides spa and sauna. In general, it's value for money and highly recommended.
Love the heritage building and contemporary decor mix. Staff excellent and location perfect. Hotel restaurant food was good too.
Breakfast could be better Otherwise everything excellent .
It is a very pretentious place that cannot really live up to its own ambitions. It is wannabe posh. The design may look good but things are not working properly and the staff seem incompetent under a pretense of professionalism. There is room for improvement!
Great for the shopping district and beautiful hotel
I prefer to be in a quieter area
Good location. Nice design of rooms in new wing combined with the glamorous old building of the hotel. Bright rooms with lots of light. Good breakfast. Wonderful garden and terrace. The hotel has parking.
Extremely noisy location. Walls and windows don't isolate any noise. You can hear guests in other rooms, in the hallway and people talking on the street not to mention the traffic. Impossible to get a good nights sleep. Breakfast costs 16 €. The spa is small and unusable. The sauna, steam room and swimming pool are in the hallway of the spa. It's a joke..
Lovely setting, comfortable room
Bar area not well designed for comfort. Lack of ambience in dining area (too early in the year to eat outside which would have been ideal)
too noisy and even in the hotel.
Excellent location; beautiful building, refurbished with great style and sensitivity; good food; very helpful staff.
The only criticisms are the cramped bar (perhaps not a problem in summer), and the lack of armchairs in the bedroom
Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful building in good location
Room was rather dark- if you want to read at night, maybe bring a torch
