In the Judería district of historic Cordoba, the Hotel Exe Conquistador is set across from the Mezquita, in the center of the city.

This stylish hotel is in central Córdoba's beautiful Jewish Quarter, next to the Roman Temple Ruins. Featuring 5 Andalusian-style patios, it offers rooms with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 2009 reviews Excellent
This charming hotel is just feet from the Mezquita. It is made up of attractive 17th- and 18th-Century houses with lovely gardens, fountains and patios.
Score from 932 reviews Wonderful
Excellent hotel ..Good food Interesting town.
Superb palace renovated with taste and modern features Very nice staff
The hotel was stylishly appointed and the facilities such as the pool and surrounding garden and reading room were gorgeous. Our room was comfortable and quiet. We also loved the unique courtyard floor which looked down onto the Roman ruins underneath. There was also what appeared to be an excellent spa and bath which we ran out of time to use.
Comfortable and spacious rooms Lovely garden with pool - great to cool-down in the heat of the afternoon.
Having to leave
Unique 500 year old palacio with roman remains in basement. Staff both friendly and professional. Facilities excellent. We stayed in junior suite which was a terrific accommodation (rm19) and highly recommended. Mesquita and casco historico short walk only.
lovely peaceful place
need more staff at breakfast
Beautiful hotel, outside areas are especially lovely and help ease the heat of cordoba. Staff are friendly and helpful.
The staff was very welcoming and always very helpful (with smile !); The room was perfect (superbe bathroom); Breakfast : considering the large choice you may call it "brunch", just great with a lot of attention to the details; The place is beautiful and perfect to relax; The hotel does not pre-authorize the credit card but trusts its customers (they only ask a credit card number upon arrival); The temperature of the water of the swimming pool is perfect (refreshing)
The swimming pool is small
Everything about the hotel except the room.
The room was very small and certainly not of 5 star standard.
The location of the hotel is good. Parking is easy as they offloaded all our bags and valet parked the car. The gardens are lovely and the design and decor of the hotel is good too.
For a hotel of this calibre the service was not what it should be. We had lunch in the garden where the service was just ok. At breakfast the waitress dropped no less than three things at different times, smashing two plates in the process and making a huge racket every time. She also touched my food on my plate when she placed it in front of me - not great. We had to wait for ages for coffee in the courtyard in the evening, 45 mins and almost gave up. Lastly there was only one person at reception I need to ask directions and restaurant tips, but had to wait for 6 people to check in before I could do that. The hotel is either understaffed or staff is very badly managed.
We only stayed one night but it was awsome. The staff were really helpful, we got a free upgrade on our room as they weren't fully booked. The pool was small but pretty with orange trees around and really tranquil to sit in the garden chilling with jazz music playing in the background. Only a short walk into town, and breakfast was excellent. I asked if some gluten and dairy free food options would be possible because of my food allergies, and they delivered more than I could have ever expected, I got gluten free muffins, buiscits and bread with sheeps cheese and soya milk available, it was really great. We enjoyed the Roman baths too... Overall a great hotel and would really reccomend this as a great place to stay in Cordoba
I tried really hard to think of something, but no there's nothing we didn't like, it was all really really good.
Gorgeous property, pool area is beautiful, Roman baths can be booked for free use, food in the restaurant was excellent, creative and innovative. Dreamer double room was enormous. Some staff were very helpful and versatile.
Were offered a bottle of water at the beginning of our meal which ended up costing 5 euro. Price was not available before hand. Same with the glass of Remy Martin VSOP, which cost... wait for it... 21 euro. 21 EURO!!!!! FOR ONE GLASS!! Service was 6 euro, PER PERSON. It's such a pity cos the meal and the stay were lovely, but we left feeling tricked and cheated.
Dinner took an hour to arrive and the waiter was unable to de-bone the fish properly. The food was mediocre, bland and unexciting. The delay in dinner meant we missed our spa session. Despite the issue being raised at the time, management only offered to assist upon check-out. Too little, too late. For a top dollar venue, it was a huge let down.
I liked the Hospes. It is a very nice hotel, and a lovely building. We had a bigger room which was lovely.
The breakfast was lovely but I didn't like how the tables were arranged, you force people to look to one another by not seating your partner right in front of you, which makes it a bit like eating in an aquarium. The SPA wasn't really a spa. Besides that, this is a great hotel.
Travelling through Spain with two dogs and we stayed at Hospes Palacio del Bailio for one night. Staff were fabulous, bedroom excluded two dog baskets and water bowls!! Restaurant first class. Staff parked our car and collected it again on check out.
Small problem with tiny ants! Room was very hot - air con did not go below 19 degrees.
The beautifully appointed, attractively designed and tiled pool is much better than the online photos suggest. Gorgeous, peaceful garden with orange trees and pool.
Ugly, slow reception facilities and procedures. We were asked to "wait 5 minutes" to check in! No pleasantries like 'Sir' or 'Madam', ever. Pushy sales of overpriced breakfast at check in. Over-priced breakfast at €24 (+€4 for a cooked egg). Room we were given was on the front courtyard, ground floor. No natural light unless windows opened onto the 'restaurant' courtyard, in which case no privacy or peace. Room had a musty smell. Inappropriate, naff use of rose petals on the bed. Asked to move rooms but told fully booked (although booking.com said there were 4 doubles available). Shown a nicer, quieter room at the back of the hotel. Some slight road noise from bumpy man-hole covers but better. Attractive, original, stone features and softer lighting. Annoying, gimmicky, electronic keys that don't work properly or quickly. Rain, shower head missing. The remaining shower head slips and slides. Water temperature in shower difficult to control. Annoying, glass divider between the toilet/bidet area and the rest of the bathroom suggests the plumber put the toilet/bidet where the rain shower was due. Glass wall dangerous when using the facilities at night. Styling of the hotel interiors needs more period stuff and much softer lighting. A tea light in the corridor looks cheap. Expensive scented candles would be better. For the price there needs to be some sense of luxury entirely lacking in the interiors. Garden area was in need of maintenance and weeding. Lack of any garden lighting at times in the evening was a little dangerous. Zero freebies. This was mean, given the hotel price. Biggest annoyance: wifi in the room did not work even after a visit from the Maintenance Man.
SPA, little place around swimming pool
Hidden oasis, pool and garden courtyard, service. Valet parking.
White plastic buckets for used pool towels; a small detail that lowers the standard. Use large rattan baskets or something contemporary.
Set in a former palace the hotel was beautifully appointed. It was a very easy walk to all the sights with plenty of food and shopping nearby. The outdoor terrace and pool area was lovely.
No tea and coffee in the rooms and very expensive breakfast for what was provided.
Excellent hotel. Luxurious and beautifully situated. Made coming back from outings like returning to a small oasis. Staff very helpful. Evening of flamenco and tapas extraordinary.
Pretty much everything
Poolside service was slow Dining room could be made a bit more welcoming by dimming the lights and putting table cloths on the tables at night
Very picturesque building, lovely internal courtyard with trees and greenery.
Pool area gets crowded and staff were not very proactive at removing left wet towels nor bringing clean dry ones.
This hotel is pricy, but luxury is evident in the details: plush towels, firm bed, great pillows. Staff is accommodating.
Wifi was spotty at times; pool was very small.
