The location was great, the staff were friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. Lugging your bags through the streets to get there as getting there by car is a bit difficult. But the parking garage isn't very far away.

The location and history behind the hotel are what attracted us to it. The cafes, shops and restaurants were delightful and the museum fascinating. I loved the layout of the hotel - the rooms were clean and simple and I loved the photograph hiding the tv! It was really quiet which we also really appreciated. The staff were helpful, even warning us in advance about the Palm Sunday parking restrictions and helping us when we had to move our car promptly! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Caceres and stay there again for sure.

Very friendly staff. Historic building with the expected modern touch at this 4star level. Nice, abundant breakfast. No free WiFi in the room; nor was there any internet connection available in the hotel. Room as booked should have included bathtub, houseshoes etc. of which none was provided.

The building is very nice because you feel part of the old town. The room was clean and very relaxing. The location is very good for those who want to visit the old town. There are several restaurants and stores nearby. I was very lucky to find a place to park the car, but it it possible to park in a place nearby ( just ask at the reception) but you have to pay for it. The hotel it was not easy to find. Folow the yellow signs until you find it. For those that want to sleep until 12 p.m. it is difficult because the cleanning starts early! But wake up and go for a walk in the old town!

Excellent location outside the walled city.Very good restaurants within a 100 metres or so as well as a very good restaurant at the hotel. The interior of stone gives the building a really historic apperance. The room was very quiet and comfortable. Recommend to anyone who wants to stay in a hotel in real authentic Spain.

The location is excellent, right next to the medieval part of town. The hotel is very nice. We will be back. The upgrade to a superior room is not worth it. The regular rooms are almost as nice and as big.

Beautiful Old Castle, destroyed in my opinion by a visually impaired architect and designer, cheap and poor finish 2* at best 3* if pushed, 4* not on this planet, nothing attractive about this hotel breakfast laughable, Very hard to make a mess of a simple omletter and bacon, not here they achieved it with the greatest of ease, depressing depressing depressing.............!

Wonderfully restored building in an excellent, central location. Needed an additional person on reception. Only one guy on duty who was stretched. Trying to find the hotel very difficult and parking inconvenient. Should offer guests valet parking.

Front desk staff were excellent, location is great, building is very relaxing/ restored to a high standard, comfortable to work in/pay for wifi in rooms but it's fast, great showers & don't miss the amazing breakfast which along with the (very high quality) standards offered extra items such as cinnamon rice milk, antioxidant jelly shots, exotic fresh fruits & juices, & you can even customize your own omelet/eggs cooked by the staff. Easy to find if you follow the yellow signs marked with the hotel name & don't deviate once you've spotted them - as you get very close follow the generic sign for 'hotels' rather than an individual sign for nh Palacio. The restaurant across the road is also excellent for authentic local dishes. Parking is limited out the front & having to lug suitcases up stairs is never enjoyable.

My wife is an invalid ... if we had known that the only way to our room was by many steps we would not have booked your hotel. This produced big problems despite the very helpful desk manager who assisted us with baggage. I was also informed that I was not permitted to park immediately outside the hotel but did find a disabled parking bay nearby. However when we went out in the evening and following morning there was a car parked there ... one rule for one and one for another!?

This beautifully restored old monastery houses a very nice hotel. The large and comfortable air conditioned bedroom. The excellent choice buffet breakfast. The friendly staff at the front office. The Spanish are becoming great hoteliers maybe soon the best in Europe! Very difficult to find the hotel in this old walled city. Parking is difficult. The hotel supplied local street map is small and not accurate.

The room was very nice and the hotel is in a pleasant square just outside the old city walls. Caceres old town is so small that being just outside the walls is probably the best location and we were lucky to be able to park directly outside.

This hotel is a little gem. I was surprised with everything about it. It is located in a restored historic building, the former palace of the marques de oquendo. The rooms are done in modern style but respecting the historic arquitecture. Simple but comfortable. Done in style. A must visit. The location couldn't be better: in a very quiet corner in the middle of the historic old quarters, just steps away from the main plaza and the beautiful pedestrian shopping streets. It is in front of a beautiful little park. Great value for your money. The only thing I can think about is the pillows: this hotel chain seems to like these uncomfortable long tube like pillows. We only stayed one night, and the next day I discovered a normal extra pillow in the closet. Besides that, just be advised that being in the old historic center, it's somewhat difficult to find if you are driving, and parking is not easy. There is a public parking close by to leave your car.

Could not ask for a better location. An excellent choice of first class restaurants are located within 400M radius and all the main tourist sights are within walking distance. The only downside is parking which is not close to the hotel, the hotel would be well advised to employ have a valet service.

The location is great, the building is historic. Almost all standard double rooms are very dark with the window going to the internal inter-building space. The natural darkness is reinforced by the color of the walls... Quite depressing. I asked to change my room three times, and finally they gave me a room with a window going to the square in front of the hotel. Internet is for free only in public spaces.
