had to find a phone boot to give them a call so they could give me the keys, a minor hassle

Staff service was great. When our apartment had problems (frequent power trips and no hot water after 10pm), the staff sent a technician to look into them. As the problem with the power trips will take more than a day to be rectified, the staff shifted us to a 3-bedroom apartment at no extra charge. The staff also assisted in advising us on the activities which suited our age group in Madrid. We were heartened by the quality of service. The apartment was well-equipped with cooking facilities and toiletries. We can always ask the apartment cleaners for a change or replenishment of toiletries and towels if required. The apartment location was also ideal, with the Bilbao metro station (2 stops away from Gran Via, 3 stops away from Sol) less than 5 mins away. The Carrefour supermarket was also about 5-10 mins walking distance from the apartment. There are also many bars and restaurants in the neighborhood.

The hot water for showering fluctuates sometimes, especially if another person is using the water at the same time. While we understand from the staff that this is common in Madrid, we would have preferred constant hot water for showering as in other accommodations in Spain. It would be good if the kitchen sink water is also heated in the 3-bedroom apartment, as the water is especially cold in winter! We had hot water running in the 2-bedroom apartment.

The apartments are spacious, and well equipped. The location is great with a great selection of bars and restuarants on your doorstep.

Lovely apartments, near all night life but not too noisy on an evening.

Suite was perfect for our weekend stay (5 adults 2 teenagers).

No-one could speke english (cleaners)

Absolute value for $$$. Facilities and amenities are considerably top notch for the price you pay. Very modern, furnished intimate loft studio for 4. Such a steal for low budget travellers. Claudia is a very helpful host who gave us many tips and recommendations during our short stay in Madrid. Will certainly return again for longer stays in future.

A little hard to find at first. The exterior may deceive you. Dont expect typical hotel standards here. It's an appartment that is pretty much DIY, albeit with a personal touch.

Spacious apartment with comfy beds and good kitchen. Good location near Metro and shopping streets leading into the centre of the city.

Fully furnished with Ikea furniture that was showing signs of it's age.

Palafox Central Suites is excellent choice for family stay in Madrid. My apartment had 2 bedrooms with 4 beds and living room with two additional spare beds, kitchen (with all new appliances which include electric stove, fridge, microvawe, washmachine, dishmachine, etc.), two bathrooms and smaller dining space. Important thing is that apartment has air conditioning system for all rooms not only for one (e.g. living) room. There's a internet connection (and not proclamative low speed but real 16Mbps connection) and LCD TVset capable of playing DivX/MP4 (such a internet connection with torrent and TVset capable of playing DivXs can be good combination). TV programs are mostly spanish and only few english speaking ones but probably nobody needs them since Madrid has more interesting things where one can spend his time. Bruno, the guy who welcomed us when we arrived in apartment, speaks fluent english (which is rare thing in Madrid) and is very helpful explaining us all things about transport and attractions in Madrid.

The room is spacious with three bedrooms and two washrooms. The kitchen is big and clean.

No onsite staff and phone in the room can not access reception.

Of all, Claudia and the other brasilian young man (I don,t remember his name). Both give us really a great treatment and facilities. Thank to them.

Some problems with the motor pump of the shower. Water soft and hard and also cold and heat.

i like the location of the hotel it was perfect for a city trip , the metro is just 3 minutes away . and the hotel staff were super friendly , everything was so smooth and perfect . our check out was late so they kept our luggage in the office till our flight time , i would say it was amazing trip to madrid .

the internet connection was weak in our room , the lady from the hotel office and tried to fix it also it was cutting many times .

Central location, close to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff. Comfortable, clean. Perfect for a family stay.

Water pressure wasn't the best.

Excellent location near Bilbao metro station. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby but quiet enough to sleep. Bruno gave good advice on check in and got us a great table/reservation at Las Carboneras.

Found some body hairs in one bathroom and bedroom on arrival and although everything else appeared clean enough it left me feeling like the place hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. Hot water only lasted for 3 short showers and as there were 6 of us this was inconvenient in the mornings.

The location of the apartments were good for the shopping district. The apartments are modern and in good condition.

They do not advertise the fact there is a curfew - this should be stipulated beforehand. Apartments should be cleaned everyday especially when you take into consideration the costs and cleaning fees you pay.

We travelled as a party of 7 girls for a weekend break. We had an amazing time. Apartment was perfect for us. Nicely designed and very central. Very clean and comfortable with clean towels, bedding, memory foam pillows, iron, hair dryer and kitchen utensils!

Only problem was that we had to all have very quick showers so that none of us ended up with cold water! Not a major problem though as we worked this out quite quickly! Lovely stay though and sad to be back!

- Die zentrale Lage der Unterkunft hat uns am meisten gefallen. - Entfernung nur 2 min. bis zur nächsten U-Bahnstation. - Küche mit dem Nötigsten was man braucht (gute Ausstattung)

-Wir hatten einen Käteeinbruch (bis zu -5 C Nachts) und die Unterkunft war leider nicht geheizt als wir eintrafen.

Hanno riparato l'acqua calda dopo due giorni. Il tranfert dall'aereoporto che ci ha contattato tramite il sito degli appartamenti è stata una fregatura
