Hotel La Catedral is set in Cádiz’s charming Old Town, right next to Cádiz Cathedral. Its rooftop terrace has a small outdoor pool with jets and amazing views of the cathedral and the Atlantic Ocean.
Score from 606 reviews Very good

The poolbar didn't open when the weather got better and there were at least 15+ guests in the poolarea The staff at the Atlantico bar was not really service orientated at night Laundy service is a bit overpriced
room outlook food
too close to next room on balconey
Great location between the bay and old town. The fact that all rooms have a balcony with a sea view. Rooms very modern and well designed.
My husband would have liked a gym, although we did realise beforehand there wasn't one.
Location, views, pool, great shower, comfortable bed
The room we had was not as good as previous. A couple of things did not work and wear and tear seemed worse. Wifi was very poor.
Everything was brilliant about this hotel. It was beautifully designed, the room was fantastic. The pool was stunning. A modern island right in the heart of the old part of town. Best of both worlds!
The room and it's view were perfect. The facilities, cleanliness and added extras made for the perfect stay. Pool was good, breakfast fantastic, nice staff. Will only ever want 7th floor again, it as so nice.
The bar was a bit bland and characterless. One night of entertainment only (good but linked to the Jazz festival), male member of staff in restaurant not as friendly as the female staff, who were lovely. Hotel has best view location but is a bit of a walk from the centre of the old city.
The pool was amazing!!! The breakfast also AMAZING - large variety of hot options, pastry, fruit snacks, and juices, and an omelette bar. Lovely views of the ocean.
Location and views
Price and lack of bar facility at swimming pool for food post 4pm
Breakfast, pool facilities, room, bathroom, some of the staff at breakfast, general environs
Extra charge for parking only advised on arrival, blaming customer on hotels failure to provide double bed, lack of atmosphere in bar/external lounge, insufficient staff on "egg" duty at breakfast, attitude of male staff to customer requests at breakfast, late start 7.30am for breakfast, poor service at pool bar,
Location on the beach but only a short stroll from the centre of the old town. Great pool deck. The hotel is side on to the sea, if you want the best sea views you need to be at that end -preferably looking over the castle!
A bit too ultra modern for our tastes with a tendency to be a but characterless.
Friendly staff, inventive modern design, varied buffet breakfast, convenient for touring old Cadiz and wonderful views of the Atlantic, parking, reasonable prices and good service. We had a delightful stay here.
The swimming pool,location & car-park.
Lack of character, very gleaming bu soulless
The locations was excellent, right beside the sea, close to the main shopping area and a few minutes walk to restaurants etc
The food was absolutely awful - do not eat at the pool bar. The staff aren't trained to an international standard, on checking out, no questions on whether we enjoyed our stay, when we had to return an undercooked burger, no questions as to why etc etc The rooms (we stayed in a suite) are designed really badly - they make no sense. The spa was okay, not great, not shockingly terrible.
Beautiful views from our room. Gorgeous pool overlooking the ocean. Breakfast served on our balcony overlooking the sea at no extra cost.
Service is a little slow. Gym was sub-standard for a property like this.
The luxury and modernity of the room
That we stayed only one night
Location and facilities
Wide choice of breakfast options including eggs freshly cooked to order Excellent location Very comfortable rooms with spacious balconies Pleasant pool area with plenty of sun beds
A few staff could have been more helpful
location very good. When work at back of Hotel beside park is completed it will enhance the view from hotel. Breakfast very good.
A little over priced. Waiting to get access to hotel very early in the morning had to wait for 20mins before somebody arrived to open door.
no music on during the day by the pool
Location by the sea & views; lots of swimming pools; stylish modern building; nice people
All room lights automatically come brightly on at night when you get up to have a pee - very annoying!
the rooms and the views and the pool area are amazing.
the bar area is horrible and very sterile and cafe like. The restaurant is the same with horrible music being played whilst you eat. Large empty spaces which are not used is such a waste, such as the patio area by the bar and the roof terrace which is just a view point, a fab cocktail bar would be amazing up there with the views as they are. The hotel has so much more potential and not using all the space the hotel has to office is criminal.
the food near the swimming pool....
Wonderful spacious sea view room with huge bath and separate shower.
Unfortunately air conditioning broke down during our stay
Fantastic location in the old town, next to the ocean. Great swimming pool-area. Very friendly receptionists. Wonderful view from the 6th floor.
The Wi-Fi didn't function very well in the sixt floor, but was fine in the reception area. Borrowed a router, but still had problems because my cumputer wouldn't accept a Spanish router. I liked the very modern room with high-tech amenities, and was therefore surprised to see that the elevators didn't communicate with each other.
Location. Bed really comfortable. Slept like a log; we had asked for a quiet room and hotel obliged us.
No soul. No buzz. I found the techno room too illogical. Too expensive for me but I don't need that level of luxury. Breakfast average - nothing special. Parking too expensive.
