Hotel La Catedral is set in Cádiz’s charming Old Town, right next to Cádiz Cathedral. Its rooftop terrace has a small outdoor pool with jets and amazing views of the cathedral and the Atlantic Ocean.
Score from 727 reviews Very good
A charming hotel that is ideally located in the heart of the historic old town of Cadiz, which enraptures the traveler with its warm mix of Andalucian, colonial and classical styles.
Score from 537 reviews Excellent
This hotel is set 325 ft from Santa María del Mar Beach and a 20-minute walk from Cádiz Old Town. The Monte Puertatierra provides free Wi-Fi in all areas.

On Victoria Beach, just 1.5 miles outside Cádiz, Tryp Cádiz La Caleta Hotel features a restaurant and stylish rooms. It has a 24-hour front desk.
Score from 467 reviews Very good
-- Modern room with huge comfortable bed where we could lie, watch the sea, and listen to the seabirds overhead. So different from most of Spain!
-- Wifi was spotty, depending on which part of the room you stood/sat in.
Great style and location, big balcony with a view.
WiFi was hopeless in the room - excellent at reception.
Spectacular views, pools and terraces; the most technologically advanced hotel I've ever seen
LOVE STAYING AT THIS BEAUTIFUL MODERN STYLISH PARADOR. THE LOCATION IS SUPERB, IN OLD TOWN OVERLOOKING THE ATLANTIC. THE HOTEL IS VERY SPACIOUS, BREAKFAST CHOICE IS ENOURMOUS AND LOVELY QUALITY. THE ROOMS AND BEDDING ARE SUPER QUALITY AND WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.
The views. The breakfasts. The cutting edge design. The friendly welcome. Helpful staff.
Spa not so professional but has the potential to be very good. One wonderful massage and a wrap which was fair to poor.

The hotel was easily found and the parking exellent. The checkin and checkout were handled efficiently. Our room on the 6th floor enjoyed superb views out to sea. The room was spacious and well equipped. The balcony and seating on it were a real bonus. Lifts to all floors asnd car parking. The breakfast choices were exellent. Most of the old town is only a few minutes away on foot.
The lighting in the room was very modern, but, lacked individual bedside light controls and a reading light for the 2nd chair in the seating area. The tv could only be watched from the beds, not the seating area. The glass door between the bedroom and the toilet/shower would not suit all tastes. On 2 mornings the hot buffet food was actually cold. The hotel is a modern structure and lacks warmth and character.
The location with view of the sea. Nice modern rooms. Helpful staff.
The location was excellent with lovely view from the room. The staff were extremely helpful and all in all we had an excellent stay.
Every thing was great. Luxury room. Ocean view. Near the beach. Near the historical city.
The hotel is overlooking the beautiful Bay of Cadiz on one side and Cadiz old town on the other. La Caleta beach is a few minutes stroll away. Restaurants, tapas bars and cafes are a short walk away through the side streets. The hotel has everything you would expect from a modern hotel. Large outdoor pool area, spa, elegant public areas, an excellent restaurant and separate tapas/cafe bar. We parked in the underground garage (€16) which was very convenient. On arrival our luggage was taken up to our room from the garage. There is direct lift access from there to all the floors. Breakfast is not to be missed. A large area run very efficiently by polite, cheerful staff. Expect a wide choice - suitable for all tastes. I was especially pleased to see gluten and lactose free items available. We stayed for 7 nights in Room 721 which overlooked the sea and the tropical gardens. Perfect!
As mentioned in previous reviews the modern glass arrangement with the bathroom - in particular the toilet - offers little/no privacy.
We loved the amazing views and the good location of this hotel. The first meal we had there was brilliant. The bar was calming and looked out over the sea. The bathroom facilities were very good.
The 85th anniversary meal. The bathroom facilities lacked privacy.
great hotel loved everything about it , good food and spa facilities , will go again
And location is perfect
Location was great for me.Opposite the university, in old Cadiz, on the Atlantic.Room facing over swimming pool so got sun all day.Food excellent.Staff very helpful.
Views. Cleanliness Beds
Doors to bathroom difficult and couldnot figure out how to use the bath so wasted on us. Staff went through the motions but lacked charm.
Location, view, facilities.
Even the blackout blind could not keep out the flashing of the lighthouse.
Great sea views, rich breakfast, good location and the SPA circuit was Super!
Great surprise!!! New building with surprising design. we usually prefer old, heavy, buildings, full of chracter. this one is modern - built of glass, metal and wood - but it "works" extremly well! very spacious room and public areas. Unique views. Wonderful and rich breakfast, dined in very spacious room facing the sea. Friendly staff. Fair price. Higly recommended.
Fantastic architectural retreat right on the Caleta beach area in Cádiz. Wonderful rooms and great food. Will come again.
Could use more staff... a little over-worked. Pity the outdoor pools aren't a little heated... even in October.
We loved the glass airiness of the building, it's location on the sea walk, our room with a balcony and view. The hi tech lighting, the futuristic look of the bathroom and the comfort throughout, including the pool. Great stay and highly recommend this wonderful parador.
Everything about the hotel was amazing; staff, facilities, services, etc.
Didn't like that the indoor pool & gym were part of the spa & not free of charge for hotel guests. Also spa timings are not convenient.
wonderful place, everything perfect...parking in the garage possible...
The modern design, comfort and location are as much part of the Parador's draw in Cadiz as anything else. Comments that it is too far from old city are not really fair as it's only a delightful walk to most places. Perched right above the sea and adjoining a botanical oasis would be sufficient for most visitors but the pool facilities are just sublime. A real oasis for travellers and worth the cost.
Bar area very uninspiring.
