There was nothing we didn't like, except, maybe, when we went to see the exhibit/tour on the grounds. The woman at the entry was very discourteous. We would have happily paid the money just for a peak. She told us to get out, in Spanish.
The entry to the Parador is past the fantastic old Santa Maria Church (Gothic tower with a Baroque facade). Winding up the hill to the castle and monastery, entering the beautiful courtyard and arriving at the entrance was very dramatic. Excellent views of the surrounding countryside. The rooms were fit for a king, and the grounds were stunning. Food at the restaurant was exceptional. Breakfast was the finest we had in Spain! We played music in the courtyard and in the bar, and loved the feeling of being in these ancient surroundings.
