We had a double room overlooking the town square. Fantastic location. Good restaurant quite good value. Great views from this hotel.
Driving up to the hotel necessitated driving through some very narrow streets. Part of the fun.
The view from the hotel restaurant is spectacular! The hotel breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly.
Unfortunately our bedroom had no view and was on the square, which was very noisy until the early hours of the morning and the rubbish men came at 6am! On the whole too pricey, particularly if you don't get a room with a view.
The staff was very very friendly. the room very comfortable. The food was good. It is a very beautiful hotel
The computor in the lobby was a disaster.
The location of the hotel --the view from the room --the food also good --The help from the receptionist ANGELUS --fantastic young lady --so helpful ---
The parking situation is just crazy ---customers should be advised correctly beforehand re the situation --I would have left the car down the town and got a taxi up to the hotel --which I did the following day for 4 e ----as on arrival it was just totally mad ---and only because the receptionist was so good I would have walked away ---I was not impressed at all and it did not help that it took me over an hour to park up after a two hour drive from my home near Malaga---just not acceptable ---under no circumstances would I recommend the hotel because of the parking problem--also on my booking I requested a room with a view and was given a room overlooking the car park --lovely room but not what I wanted --and then having to change after all the parking problems did not make me at all happy and then having to pay extra for a room --I should have been advised beforehand ---NO not impressed ----
Very nice view
Too expensive, not worth its money
This was our first experience staying in a Parador. Even though the receptionist did not speak English very well, she made us feel most welcome. She had been working Paradors for many decades. She was a delightful soul who loved her work.
As a highly recommended establishment I was disappointed that no one at the hotel.spoke sufficient English. Fortuneatly, at reception a fellow guest was able to explain the challenges with parking in the square, otherwise our stay might have been compromised by parking fines.
The views from any window were spectacular. Very good restaurants in the area.
There is not very much to see and do in Arcos de la Frontera. and with the one way narrow narrow streets and difficulty finding parking, once there we stayed there.
We were offered an upgrade to the room with the best view of the limestone cliffs and surroundings. There are a number of rooms with a great view but this particular room is the only one with a view back to the town as well. The increased tariff was reasonable (and so was the original tariff, but note that we were in the shoulder period) for the superb view.
The hotel is fantastically located but, if you're driving, hard to get to (esp if you normally drive on the LHS of the road) as you need to drive there through a maze of very narrow cobbled streets often line on the walls with tourists. When we did get to the carpark, the park was very full and the attendant not particularly friendly and who spoke not a word of English.
Location was wonderful. The staff were very nice. Arcos is a lovely town and I like the choice of restaurants in close proximity The narrow streets and lovely buildings
Having to €17 extra for breakfast. How awkward the parking was at the Parador
The Parador is situated in the main city square, high on the edge of a cliff over looking the river valley. Fabulous location, excellent staff. Several restaurants and bars around the area. Suitable for walking.
Staff was very helpful in giving us directions to Jerez to see the equestrian school
We had to come downstairs by the little computer room to get internet connection
Location, comfort and helpful & friendly staff. Nice room with spacious balcony
We found the formal restaurant service closed (since 2 years, apparently), with just a cafetaria left. Food was nice all the same. Suggestions: 1. Switch breakfast room and cafetaria room - makes for the evening meal wt the best location 2. Equip the rooms for self-service coffee & tea making (as customary in many hotels etc in other countries)
Location, traditional village...far from mutitude of tourists...relax sit back in a outdoor tapas cafe".watch local scene...
Place needs a tlc update. Bit tired...air conditionig. Didn't work, and staff looked unconcerned.
great location - we had a great room overlooking the countryside and the old church breakfast is pricey, but outstanding.
challenging drive to the hotel thru narrow streets
Hard to get to, not enough to see and do once there
Location and views from the bedrooms excellent. The receptionist was kind enough to look for us at the car park when the house keeper found some items left behind in the room.
The hotel felt either very quiet or a little dead not sure which. A little music in the bar at night might be a good idea.
Location, location, location. Beautifully perched on the cliffs edge, standing on the edge of the balcony makes you a little dizzy. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Little pricey and wifi is only in common areas. Other than that it was amazing!
The location is excellent, the view was magnificent and the room clean and spacious. The breakfast was plentiful but overprized
The access to the hotel is through some very narrow lanes so could be quite a problem if you are driving a big car. There is parking in the square outside the hotel but is usually full so you have to wait till somebody leaves in order to park in his place. The restaurant is rather dull and although the view from the balcony is superb the view when you dine inside is unremarkable. It seems that nobody was using it for dinner during our stay and everybody preferred tapas in the bar. Price was high compared to similar hotels in the area for mid may that we have stayed
I had read great things about this parador so was disappointed to find it so run down and tired. The town also had a very run down feel about it presumably because it is not on the main tourist route. However the dinner and breakfast was surprisingly good.
Run down ambience.
It`s the best hotel in town with a grandios view over the landscape! Andaluz interieur of its best! Very high restaurant level!
The style of property, of course the exquisite view, and staff was quite good. Breakfast was outstanding.
Unaware of the parking limitations. Staff could support this for guests (pay the mete). True full/queen beds.
The bathroom floor had hair matted in the corner and the bedside rugs very dirty.
The amazing views from the terrace and the relaxed atmosphere.
The scary drive through streets to get to hotel car park and the even scarier drive out of town down those tiny streets.
Wonderful location right at the top of the town after threading the car up narrow streets.
