The location, calm, the lift, the bathroom, the little packs after breakfast. The food at dinner (and the cost of dinner). The lack of explanation on the historical sites within the Parador, which we realized when we left only. The guided tour in Alhambra, which we believed was private (and we were with 85 year-old parents...).

Location, assistance one of the reception staff. Size of room. The gardens around the cafe. No sense of welcome, no smile on arrival. Lack of service in cafe, very unhelpful. Noise of air conditioner at night, no real experience of quiet, as it could not be controlled. Hotel staff were aware that it was not possible to find the hotel using a sat nav, but did not convey this information before arrival. It would be very easy to add this to any booking form made on the Internet.

The setting and location. The restaurant. The bed and bath both very comfortable. Nice touches such as robes /slippers. Parking on site. Wondered about the security of the wifi.

The luxury of staying in the heart of the Alhambra. The shower (showers in Spanish hotels are not always crash hot!) and the big bed and the view of the Generalife. There was also a complimentary bottle of cava in an ice bucket and aplate of petit fours. Menu was limited and there really isn't anywhere else to eat that is convenient. Also the fridge in our room did not function properly. The front desk said they would look into it and thanked us for reporting it

The location and the fact that the staff at reception got us tickets for the Alhambra immediately on arrival. The food was exceptional with vegetarians and coeliacs catered for. Nothing - what is there not to like?

Architecture (old convent restored with taste) Location is great to see the Alhambra but far from the town Beautiful views and surroundings Concierge staff uninformed, unmotivated and unable to communicate in English. Partly heated hotel (savings?) in February when temp was a few degrees above zero. Uninspired catering Location of hotel means having to take taxis to go anywhere

Amazing location, easy to find because it is signposted everywhere and it has its own parking at no extra charge. Especially magical at night when the Alhambra is relatively deserted (out of season anyway)and you can walk around outside the palaces as though you own the place! We were doing a Parador tour, and this one was the most expensive but also the best. A very luxurious hotel. We did not eat there in the evening but there was a great breakfast buffet with loads of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is isolated in a way, which is a good point about it, but it is a bit of a walk down to the centre (and then back up again!). There is a bus but it does not run late in the evening. Driving into the centre is not recommended but taxis are plentiful (Reception will get you one) and not too expensive. An experience not to be missed.

Clean and modern room in old historical monument; Very good breakfast with cava (local sparkling wine); I thought it was isolated from the downtown. However it was easy to walk down a hill to visit sightseeing spots and cafes/bars.

The setting was perfect, and the room was excellent - well appointed, spotless, with great facilities and with fabulous views. Loved the history of the place, which was well explained in the leaflet provided. Food was great - even the breakfast was beautiful to look at and very tasty. Diego - who was on the reception desk when we checked out - was absolutely charming, and very friendly and helpful. It rained when we stayed there! Otherwise - everything was lovely.

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel star rating system. This hotel has 4 stars yet it is vastly superior to many 5 star hotels we've stayed in. should have 6 stars!

You are staying in an historic and important building that is part of the Alhambra complex. Price alone makes it exclusive but it is so much more than simply another expensive hotel. At times you can book a room for 195 euros however the normal rate is in the 330 range. We have stayed several times and will stay again. Breakfast is all you could want and we have had nice dinners that are priced accordingly. We enjoy our time there comletely and feel it is worth the expense.
