In a 19th-century palace, less than half a mile from Granada Cathedral, this beautiful luxury hotel offers a spa. The UNESCO-protected building features grounds with Arabian-style fountains.

The setting of a former monestary is evocative. The gardens and courtyard are beautiful. Within the grounds of the Palaces of the Alhambra gives it a wonderful historic ambience.
Restaurant not open until 2000.
The staff was exceptional! They are to be complemented for how well they handle tourist needs.
Lovely hotel within the Alhambra and very quiet at night time. The hotel grounds were lovely and it's location could not have been better.
The reception staff when we checked in were rather unwelcoming and somewhat off hand. The service in the restaurant and outside terrace was poor. However the cleaner who made up our room was lovely and our room was spotless.
The location is wonderful.
It feels like no one cares and no one is in charge. A nice room but things are broken or dirty. A nice big bed made up with twin sheets. A beautiful terrace with just one or two waiters serving many many guests. A telephone with the wrong number for reception. Etc. The location is so wonderful that these things hardly matter but it seems like a shame.
Location was excellent with access to private terraces and gardens. Staying right in the heart of the Alhambra is very special.
Nothing really although price is steep compared to locations in the city.
The hotel is situated in a wonderful position inside the walls of the Alhambra. I has spectacular views. It was very quiet, tastefully decorated, and the staff were charming and helpful.
Superb location, you won't get better in granada and that's why we chose it. However the food, room and staff were also wonderful. Loved the map they gave us to do a self guided tour around the hotel and the gardens.
Living in the old Monastery was a wonderful experience. Beautiful gardens and close to the Alhambra for site-seeing. Food in the restaurant was very good. Lovely walk down to thee old city with bus to take you back up.
Waking up to views of the gardens and realizing that we were in this special place. Priceless. The beautiful sitting areas, courtyards and lunch on the terrace looking at Generalife were all beautiful. loved every moment and glad we were able to indulge.
Setting is superb, in the heart of the Alhambra complex. Very comfortable and well-equipped bedroom. Most public spaces are in keeping with the setting.
The huge , trough-like design of the washbasin is a triumph of style over practicality. It serves no purpose and leaves no space for the storage if toiletries. Given the beautiful space that is a Moorish courtyard, and the sumptuous sitting room, the restaurant is a disappointingly bland affair; we were looking forward to a very special dining setting given the location, but in fact could have been in any four star hotel.
Location to the Alhambra.
The Concierge / front desk cannot organise (in advance) entrance tickets to the Alhambra, a tour yes, but an entrance ticket no? Level of service doesn't match the price tag - restaurant and cafe staff seemed more interested in talking to themselves than serving. We stayed in 5 Paradors during our trip, and received much better service at ones costing 1/3 of this Parador.
From the friendliest reception ever to the most fabulous location this was a memorable stay- we are not fans of Parador meals but long days and the isolation made the restaurant-sense. -- so surprised- charming staff-perfectly acceptable dinner reasonably priced-no wonder full every night!
If anything-room a tad small but there only 40 so lucky to have one!!
Being able to park right next to hotel. Being able to walk around at night and take some beautiful photos. Quiet room with garden view.
Reception staff slightly offhand. Restaurant not as good as one would expect from a hotel charging these prices although the staff were very kind and agreable.
The staff could not have been more helpful. We stayed 7 nights and had no real problems. The hotel is within the grounds of the Alhambra so you are surrounded by history. You are able to wander around part of the Alhambra site during your stay.
A wonderful peaceful setting with understated luxury.
Spanish cuisine needs an enlightenment to develop its strengths and reduce weaknesses- moderate the olive oil and discover fresh veg.
The Parador in Granada was an incredible property. It is located in the Alhambra so it is very convenient. The staff was fabulous and very helpful. The restaurant was exceptional and I would recommend this property to anyone who wants an incredible experience.
An amazing place to stay and a very special location. We particularly loved the terrace cafe.
Well, it is all about the location and don't you know it: there seems very little effort to be anything else. Everything was very impersonal and you definitely get the message that here, unlike other hotels, the customer is not the most important thing, the building and location are more important than you are. We felt like the hotel knew that they can get guests, even at a very heavy price, due to location, so don't need to bother with offering good service, facilities etc. the room was basic, our shower broken, not as clean as it should be. However the amazing views from our room more than compensated! I was also unhappy that the hotel did not reply to any of my emails/booking.com requests for directions or specific room requests.
great location , great hotel
Staff couldve been friendlier
The incredible setting...
ALL THE STAFF WHERE INCREDIBLE SPECIALLY JAVIER ECXELLENT FOOD AND AMBIANCE
THAT IT DOES NOT HAVE A SWIMMING POOL
location. The hotel is a part of Al Hambla. A female front saff was very friendly and helpful.
Everything - the peaceful understated ambience, the charming staff, the idyllic setting, the yearning song of the flamenco drifting across from the Generalife as one went to sleep.
