Everything......was awesome

Nothing except the rain and even that was ok

The hotel is stunning and great use has been made of the old castle. Our room was lovely with very big bed and a large bathroom. The staff were very helpful.

Wifi only works in the reception area and the courtyard, not in the bedrooms which was very annoying. The breakfast buffet was a little disappointing and it would have been nice to have a coffee machine in the bedroom.

The building is amazing and the staff were very nice. It's expensive but unique

Being put in the disabled persons room because we were on an over 60's offer!

I asked for a room with a view at the same price if available - and on check in this was provided

Having to pay for car parking. Having already paid e160 for the room this is just plain mean. Although I accept the car parking charges are stated on the website, its still mean !

The place itself is very pretty. The castle is in the midle of the village where you can find several restaurants, bar, etc...and taste the tipical "pintxos"... Views are wonderfull. Perfect for a romantic weekend with your couple.

The price. 160€/Night for an standar room is expensive if: It's imposible to have a double bed if you don't book a suite. Moreover the room itself is not very big, the bath it's normal also...so once inside the room, you stay like in a 90€/night room hotel.

A bit overpriced, and 16 euros per day to park (particularly out of season) is excessive.

Lived up to all expectations of a 4 star Parador. Good location and secure car park

Lovely historical site, enchanting walled city, excellent acommodations, good food.

Excellent service, very friendly and courteous staff. My stay was very peaceful. A great place to relax and enjoy the surrounding cities and villages.

This was our only Parador stay during a 3 week trip to Spain and France - and we loved it. A lovely room, with 3 fantastic harbor views from bedroom/bathroom windows, in "our" castle. It was easy walking distance for exploring Hondarribia, the Tourist Information center across the plaza was exceptional in providing maps and information. Breakfasts (we chose to sit in the outdoor patio adjacent to the breakfast room) were delicious and relaxing.

Only the stairway climb from the parking lot to the hotel lobby -- should have packed lighter! If there was a way to access the elevator from the parking lot, without climbing the steep stairs, it wasn't well indicated.

The location was amazing as was the service. The history is mind blowing. It was truly an amazing experience. We will be returning for sure!

I have a dispute with the bill. I was quoted $251.55 with an addition of 13 euros for parking and was charged 260.45 euros. I would like an explanation of these charges. The woman at the desk took my copy of the booking.com reservation and I had nothing to confirm my quoted price. Please respond.

The place (medieval castle) and the amazing view

Brilliant location. Wonderful old castle. Glorious views. Great staff: ironed shirts for wedding.

In summer its too hot for a comfortable nights sleep. No air conditioning, which it needs: portable units would be OK. No ceiling fans in some rooms.

Extremely cool Parador. Beautiful terrace overlooking the sea and mountains in the distance as well as a beautiful courtyard where you can have breakfast or hang out. This is an old restored castle in a medieval village. Even though rooms are not special, the common spaces are so special that we would stay there again. You can explore San Sebastian from here. This is a non touristy town which we liked much better than huge, touristy San Sebastian. Excellent breakfast too.

Rooms are older and basic though still recommend this place highly.

The facility was fabulous. We liked the atrium with the old walls still exposed. Also the hilltop location provided great views of the city and ocean.

Staff was very helpful and kind. We enjoyed our stay.

We travel to Portugal three times per year. We find this Parador an excellent stopping off place.It has secure parking. Shame it has no restaurant.

Top locatie. Locatie aan buitenkant is een fort uit de middeleeuwen. Binnen een schitterend hotel met alle comfort.

L'accès à l'hôtel en voiture est difficile : ruelle étroite, adresse indiquée piétonne sur gps, fléchage de l'hôtel tardif. Un conseil : penser à réserver au préalable une place de parking auprès de l'hôtel. Pas de restauration sur place
