Parador de Mojácar    

The nice view

Having to pay €50 extra for an old room with a view. We should have been told about the new cheaper rooms with garden front.

Superb location, historical opulence.

The location and setting and the usual very high standard of Parador hotels.

Same menu for dinner two days running was not expected.

Room was not four star cleanliness! Restaurant characterless and very expensive.

Very good location for beach and easy access to main roads for exploring countryside too. Very spacious room. Hotel tastefully decorated. Free internet. Good breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit.

The Parador was nice and comfortable to relax in everywhere was clean and welcoming. The rooms are quite spacious and nice and quiet.

Very spacious areas for relaxation, particularly the bedroom area and the balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens and pool areas (Even though during our stay it was pouring with rain!) It was very easy to find and in a good location.

I have no complaints about the Parador de Mojacar but from a personal point of view I think that when two people are staying in a room there should be more than one item of each of the toiletries in the bathroom and also it would be nice to have an air freshener in the toilet area as well.

Friendliness of the staff and food choice provided

The rooms werevery comfortable and with good views of the sea. The swimming pool area looked very nice although we did not use that area.

We ate outside the hotel because cost of meals was too high.

Great situation, nice grounds, great balconies with views, quiet, good food, comfy and clean, friendly staff.

The parador overlooks the sea, our room was spacious and comfortable and quiet so we had a good nights sleep. It was within walking distance of restaurants and a supermarket. It was easy to find the Parador and there was parking on site . The modern building is attractive bright and airy.

Its location to beach but beaches were dirty.

Location. The hotel is situated right opposite the beach and the public areas and gardens and pool are nice

The rooms on the ground floor opening onto garden are in need of updating. There was a strong smell of drains in the bathroom. We had already settled in room by the time we realised this. I am disabled so it was too much trouble to ask to be moved. We stayed there only one night and on check out informed reception of the drain problem. Only response was a weak and unconvincing "sorry about that".

The air conditioning was not working for the length of our stay. Wi-fi did not work in room. Phone not working in the room. The evening meal in the restaurant was poor and expensive. No kettle or hot water in room to make drink and request for kettle or hot was refused by reception. No room service.

Fantastic pool. Very cool Cold War Berlin feel about the deco and furniture.

Poolside facilities very tired. Could do with some new sun loungers.

Restaurant and bar area are very modern .Lounges are very beutiful.

Rooms badly need refurbishment.

Very comfortable three day stay - excellent breakfast with a lovely view.

The hotel is relatively "upscale" and the reception staff spoke passable English. My room was in the new section of the hotel so it was very clean and modern and had a fantastic bathroom. Some rooms have sea views but these are in great demand so advisable to try to get one when you first book. Some rooms also have proper double/queen beds (not just two single beds pushed together). Breakfast had quite a nice selection of food. Only ate at the cafe once but the food was good, in fact had the best gazpacho soup there that I have tasted before or since, served with a smile. I would say that this hotel would be very suitable for families as the pool facilities looked excellent.

The worst thing for me was the bed - way too firm and just two single beds pushed together (though I have had worse). My room had no view whatsoever - just looked staight at the rooms on the opposite side which was annoying because I had to keep my curatins closed all the time. There did appear to be an "old" part of the hotel and a "new" (or possibly refurbished) section. I asked to change to a room with a sea view - but unfortunately it didnt have any view at all as it was too low to see over the front wall and the room as very old and tired looking with a small bathroom and quite dark compared to the room I was in so I stayed where I was.

This hotel was very quiet with friendly and helpful staff. The grounds and pool are very well looked after and the food is excellent.

We liked the setting of the hotel the cleanliness and spaciousness of rooms, easy and secure parking with no charge. Friendly staff and efficient staff - excellent food , could do with more choice for breakfast, english type food, this is not a criticisim just an observation.would recommend this hotel to anybody as we had a wonderful time,
