Very modern parador with every facility They provided an excellent breakfast, but we didn't eat there in the evenings - the meals there were markedly pricier than the two places we found ourselves in town.

Modern and clean Swimming pool out of service, pool bar not open and café bar without staff unless called. Had a sort of 'out of season' feel to it.

Easy to find. Clean and recently refurbished. Very modern eg the bathroom is an opaque glass cube within the body of the bedroom. Some may like this in a Parador however some may prefer more traditonal style. The design internally is very open and no cosy sitting areas. The restaurant is very large and modern. All diners were seated near the entrance to the kitchen in spite of very large scenic windows overlooking the countryside. Placing diners here would have meant a longer trip for the waitress from kitchen to tables!!!!! This was not the fault of the waitress as she had to cope with a large number of diners with ocassional help from a male colleague. It was admirable that the service was good but by necesssity very functional. The food unfortunately was more to do with ease of preparation than good cooking. We both had monkfish and langoustine salad starters. It was not cheap and the fish was ice cold ( straight from a very cold fridge ) which on a cold rainy night was not pleasant. The salad part came without dressing and whole cherry tomatoes. This salad could have been knocked up in 30 seconds flat which may account for the speed of the service. For the main course my wife a pasta dish with vegetables and cheese. Again ultra simple with nothing to recommend it and clearly thought up so as not to inconvenience the chef. My main was rice with chicken which was tasty but totally dry and not " caldoso" as described in the menu. I like well salted food but this was too salty. The saving grace was the dessert ( we shared one between two) which was meringue between two very moist pastry layers and a flowered scented jelly. It was very good. The bill came to over €100 and included a bottle of cava. We have had some very good dinners at Paradores but this was not one of them. Why do chefs underestimate customers ?Perhaps we should make our views known but inevitable it would spoil our evening even further so I will keep quite and not return. I would recommend this Parador as stop over point but not the restaurant.

Great location on the edge of town but easy walking distance to all amenities. Lovely modern rooms, very comfortable with good amenities. No tea or coffee in the rooms and the cafe/bar closed although there was a drinks service in the foyer. A shame the hotel does not make more of its public facilities such as the bar and restaurant as the place lacks any buzz or atmosphere.

Overall reasonable stay in a modern style hotel. Apart from the view we could have been in any modern hotel in the world. Breakfast had a good selection of fruit. A bit out of town if you don't have a car. Not sure why its a Parador - ie not historic or exceptional in any way.

The Parador in Antequera is in a wonderful, location and has all the facilities we needed. The swimming pool is particularly good and we had a room with fantastic views. We hit one snag; the Parador staff were on a national strike on our departure day, so there was no proper breakfast. I think they should have given us a discount for the inconvenience and dismal offering that was served by the skeleton staff. Also, charging €10 for parking is just crazy. Overall, a good place to stay, but let down by som things.

Nice room and location Not as good value for money as other Paradors I have stayed in. Found black damp mildew mould around the nbath taps and shower door which I would not expect in a hotel chain of this price and reputation. Also a large unnecessary charge for parking which is not made clear on arrival. Reception staff a bit too quick, short and sharp!

Hotel front desk staff were extremely helpful, helping arrange trips out via taxi that we wanted. Good location, only 5-10 minutes from town. Pool was nice. Close to the train station but if you walk it it's all up hill. Food slightly over priced, and the staff serving in the pool area were not the most helpful and friendly. A complete contrast to the front desk staff. Don't let that put you off, it's a lovely hotel and good services pool etc.

The design of the building is beautiful and the position is great. The pool is lovely and essential in such a hot place. The breakfast and meals are very expensive but that was not a problem as we knew this in advance and ate in town.

Good location.Clean and comfortable The restaurant was disappointing. 2 plates of food were just warm but just acceptable. 1 plate of food was almost cold and had to be sent back and re-heated. We could not understand this as there were few people in the restaurant.
