Housed in a superb and well-preserved Arab fortress, dating from the 12th century, the Siguenza provides magnificent accommodations for exploring the historical region of Castilla La Mancha. Enjoy a relaxing walk on the ground at Parador de Turismo de Siguenza, or keep cool in the cobbled courtyard of the hotel. You can also admire the stunning architecture of this building and visit the on-site, 13th century Romanesque chapel and impressive hallways. Dine in style in the hotel’s restaurant, where you can sample traditional-style cuisine in the beautiful stone-walled room equipped with archways. The hotel’s rooms are equipped with Castilian-style furniture and are tranquil spaces where you can rest. Apart from the meal I had the night I arrived, which I didn't like at all, the rest of my trip to the Parador was fantastic. I would recommend it for sure. We had an excellent stay. I didn't like the way they cooked my meal the night I arrived. It was poorly cooked, too oily, cold,...

fun location and not too far from motorway. staying in a old castle is unusual. unexpectingly one could hear noises from the adjacent room. thought in a castle, the walls would have been ticker!!! restaurant quite expensive!!

The location was excellent. The 'designer' lights in the bedroom were so dim and so badly placed it was impossible to read a book after dark. Wifi didn't work in the bedroom, or even in the bar or restaurant so you had to sit close to reception to get a strong enough signal.

Whatever you do do not eat that that restaurant! Worst meal I've had in months, worst service in years, food was insultingly bad and more expensive than delicious options outside the castle.

Originally, when we first checked in, we were placed in a very small room with a tiny window looking out to a service area. I requested we be moved to a better room and we were - for an additional, but still reasonable, fee. So, part of my opinion of this place is that one must be careful what room one is receiving when booking. The Parador was a castle and retains all of the sense of history and majesty of such a setting. It sits above the local village that has retained many of its buildings from the Middle Ages. We were very lucky in that the weekend we stayed coincided with the annual Medieval Fair so there was much to see and do, including knights on horseback, sword fights, excellent food, and lots of interesting goods on sale by street merchants. We only had breakfast at the Parador, so cannot comment on the menu in general. The breakfast menu was more than adequate, with sufficient variety of choice. Besides the castle, the cathedral was a surprise and delight. It maintains the dignity and solemnity of a true medieval cathedral, one that is now located out-of-the-way and is uncrowded as a place to visit or worship. Nothing to complain about, other than the first room to which we were shown. The lesson is ask for a specific room or retain the right of refusal once you've seen the room you've booked.

To sleep in a real castle - truly an experience for our kids (6 and 3 years). Nice surroundings. The food in the restaurant was not quite as good as one would've supposed at the price.

The castle is beautiful and th ecity easy to explore on foot. Only problem with the hotel is the one that's a problem in all of them...they have very old and very poor hair dryers! Breakfst was delicious. We did not have dinner there because Paradors have pretty poor dinners. Rooms are spacious and lovely. Staff was very helpful.
