Parador de Zafra    

A lovely place to stay.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the fact that it is situated within two minutes walk from the town centre.

Spectacular Castle building and appropriate furnishings. Delightful bedroom and outlook. Atmospheric courtyard and pleasant Bar and Restaurant providing a charming ambience in which to dine. Lovely outdoor pool and private sunbathing area. Part of the old town centre of Zafra precisely what one would hope for from a Parador yet providing easy access to a quite chic and modern shopping venue.

The swimming pool was quite cold considering the high day time temperatures but nonetheless refreshing and well supervised.

Hotel building was excellent with a lovely open patio inside. Food was excellent.

Pool was good for swimming, but not so great for sitting by as there was limited space at times.

The old fashioned style, romantic flair

I already had better dinner in other Paradors of Spain. Especially the "Solomillo" didn't close up to the quality - price - range. The quality of meat was too poor and they served it "medium" instead of "very bleu - english "

Good place to stay when travelling north. Comfortable rooms. Can get snacks, sandwiches etc all day which is not possible in the parador of salamanca for example

Directions to parador not well signposted in the town.

Location is excellent, within walking distance of the old town, two main squares, bars and restaurants etc. The building itself is impressive, with a relaxing courtyard and gardens. Staff efficient and helpful, although rather reserved as often seems the case at paradores.

Mid May and the temperature over 30, but the swimming pool was still closed for the winter! Considering the standard of the hotel, we thought this was inconsiderate and significantly reduced the value of staying at the Parador. The following night we stayed in a (inland) hotel where the pool had been open since 1 April and it was very busy, which demonstrates the demand for the facility.

Superb building at the heart of a delightful small and historic town, totally of the tourist track

Magnificent unique fort setting, and recommend dinner at the hotel.

El caastillo es precioso, estupendamente conservado y muy limpio TODO, no solo las habitaciones. Lo que mas me ha gustado es la visita guiada que ofrecen sabados y domingos, es una idea estupenda que podrian copiar otros muchos paradores, pues asi sabes realmente toda la historia que contiene el lugar donde has dormido. Enhorabuena!

La escasez de personal, especialmente en el restaurante.

Viajábamos con niños y nos dieron dos habitaciones que compartían un salon. La cena en el patio central del castillo muy agradable. La visita a Zafra y el parador con una guía (muy maja y profesional) muy recomendable

Que cobren el desayuno a una niña de dos años

Ubicación y comodidad

Wie in fast allen Paradores war auch in Zafra alles sehr stilvoll und gut.

Er wordt rekening gehouden met rokers.

Se respira una paz inmensa.

Me ha gustado todo, lo bien restaurado que está, el buen trato del personal, los detalles del baño. etc.

Nos obsequiaron con una visita guiada de 2 horas, sobre Zafra (casco antiguo) y el Parador. Excelente iniciativa

La carta algo escasa de oferta en pescados.

Sobre todo destacar la ubicacion ya que se puede aparcar en la misma puerta a pesar de estar en una zona repleta de barecitos y plazas de bares de tapas y la atencion del personal

La calefaccion de los radiadores esta demasiado alta. No solo no tuvimos que encender el aire acondicionado, sino que en pleno mes de marzo tuvimos q abrir la ventana de calor q hacia en la habitacion
