No elevator - though we are seniors, we are strong enough to carry our bags, it might be a challenge for others. (I believe the proprietor would have helped had we needed him to ) We thought this might be the reason it couldn't be designated a 3 star.
As travellers who normally stay in 4-5 star hotels, we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the hotel is dated, and no it didn't seem to have an elevator, but overall, we thought it was a pity that we had only one day to spend there. We had come from Fuengirola with plans to take a flight home from Gibralter and landed at this hotel as a result. The room we had was large enough, and had a wonderful balcony on which we did spend time once the sun got too hot for us. We thought the room was just fine - it faced the amazing ocean, and we would recommend this little town. The restaurant two doors down was amazing - have to go through the bar to find the restaurant part on the beach side. Be sure to take in the development on the point-about a 15 minute walk across the beach - you can see it from the hotel. You will be amazed! We do recommend the hotel and the lovely people who run it. It would be great if you had kids and wanted just a quiet beach holiday.
