The hotel is well-situated in the center of Málaga, so you can get around easily by foot, and is next to the port and the main Alameda thoroughfare. The rooms are classic and comfortable in design.

Nice and clean hostel with very friendy and helpful staff. Just 10 minutes walking from the beach. Free wifi available in the rooms as well.
The bed was very unconfortable and the breakfast was rather poor.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great coffee and vast choice of teas. Excellent value. Tastefully designed. Very comfortable bed. Close to beach and on main bus route. Recommend hiring a bike to explore the miles of promenade.
Location Breakfast and Terrace Staff was friendly and helpful
Can hear others in hotel Air conditioning not working
Nice room, really felt comfortable
Radiator went on during the night and it got too hot
Its all good.Especially the girl on reception who helped me find somewhere to get my car fixed. She was a star.
Late night arrival that we had requested was dealt wuth brilliantly for staff without any English ( or V little). Room at the front was great; a triple. Our freinds had a smaller double. Great beds. 400m from a small shopping area with shops big and small and acouple of freindly Tapas bars
Not much at this value
It's very basic but really clean. Only met 1 member of staff who was brilliant. Great place for a short stay, fab location. Felt like we were staying with family! Would certainly stay there again.
Dodgy hot water system meant I had cold showers for the duration of my stay. There are instructions but are not very clear or helpful Plus tap to turn hit water on is high up on the wall, so a bit of a balancing act to turn on.
Staff were friendly, inexpensive breakfasts and clean and well organised facilities.
Rooms were fantastic and very comfortable. Common areas were Very clean and well kept. Rooms were cleaned every second day, with fresh towels. A very traditional guest house feel. Close to the beach and restaurants. Close to the bus stop. Free wifi. Rooms felt very secure with heavy doors and a strong locks with key card access. The staff were very lovely.
There was no safe in the rooms or available at reception. Only one staff member had minimal English, it was hard to find out information when we had a question. These are really very minor negatives on top of an extremely positive experience.
Only stayed 1 Night. Room was clean, comfortable and good value.
1.Breakfast was nice. My daughter liked it. 2. Bus stop is really nearby. We took a bus and went to Malagueta beaches every day because the beaches nearby were not OK. 3.Shops were nearby, it was possible to buy everything we needed.
1.Careless attitude of staff - I did not receive answer to email about the way to the hostel: I wanted to know the exact way, title of bus stop. Thus, we went 5-6 stops further and then lost about 2 hours trying to find this street that no one could help us to find! Usually owners have already typed description of the way from airport/railway station that they send to their guests in advance. 2.The hostel description says 'Hostal M is 200 m from sea' that is not true at all. If to go straight down the street it is 200 m from the place where you find yourself in between Pedregalejo and El Palo beaches!! 3.Dampness and, thus, inability to dry clothes.Owners should take into account climate peculiarities and provide guests with dryers and/or places where they can dry clothes, towels. This is the worst drawback of all! In another hotel in Barcelona we were provided with an electric towel dryer and I advise Moscatel owners to provide rooms with the same equipment. It is a must, not luxury! 4.Noise and smell. In the morning construction work started rather early that is unpleasant when you try to relax.Sometimes we heard loud talks from manager's room (we were 'lucky' to live near manager's room. Smoking smell was also not OK since my daughter and I do not smoke and are allergic to it. 5. Poor level of English language knowledge by staff (I would say lack of wish to understand what is said). It was especially noticeable when they did not want to answer the questions I asked. 6. Problems with hot/cold water. Suddenly water could become hotter that frightened my daughter much and she even did not want to take a shower.
