Hotel Peninsular    

Friendly staff and very clean hotel, hot water, [ dont laugh at this as I am looking for positives!]....centrally located though.

Very very BASIC....do not stay here if you are expecting comfort. No facilities to speak of and breakfast very minimal consisting of just juice, coffee or tea cornflakes, white bread ham and cheese. Nothing else and no choice.

Very friendly staff, convenient, value for money with en-suite and breakfast, very comfortable bed.

Noisy with the courtyard in the middle, although this was OK after 11pm and I was out most of the day anyway so it didn't matter

location was superb right in the heart of everything and yet very quiet. Un-assuming exterior beautiful communal space only available to guests. Very helpful staff

drain smells but this was common around the whole city. First night paid in advance with card , second and final night to be paid on departure. When we arrived told we preferred cash but actually would only take cash although cash machines are nearby had also forgotten city tax as had booked in advance and not remembered that information

Perfect location for getting to discover BCN. Clean room, comfortable beds interesting building, breakfast sufficient.

building has a great resonance due to the shape and if the neighbors are noise is impossible to not share this with them.

The central location is brilliant and the staff are friendly.

bugs in the bath and the payment system. Would be good to pay the entire amount upon booking.

The hotel is located very close to Plaza Catalunya and the Bari Gothic Quarter. The room is modestly furnished, but very clean. Breakfast is consistent. I stayed on the 1st floor and in my room wifi worked. For those who just want to have a place to sleep, is the perfect place. If you want TV, coffee maker and hair dryer in the room, look elsewhere.

The hotel had a lot of charm. It was clean (clean towels daily and beds changed during a 5 night stay), a great shower with plenty of very hot water, comfy beds and heating! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Although quite basic the breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. The position of the hotel just off La Rambla was superb. The rooms varied greatly but they were able to change one of our rooms easily and we were given a choice. It's a great hotel for a group of friends on a short break and great value, especially if you share!

As it caters for student groups it could be a bit noisy at night, especially if you had a room at the front.

WiFi hardly works in the rooms. Not siutable for business trips, more a backpackers hostel. Very noisy.

Fantastic Location 30 seconds from La Rambla. Staff were friendly & helpful, hotel was very clean.

The Hotel is very close to La Rambla and near to beach.

The location is amazing. Breakfast included in the pricing and it is close to many attractions. Bus /Metro stops are also in walking distance.

The rooms are very basic! Certainly not for young couples. Good for friends...

My room is very quite during nights (but I could hear the couple next door making love fiercely....). Other guys said that the internet was very bad. But in my room the internet is very good.

Sound next door. Hot water came very slow, and it was a waste of water when I waited until the hot water came.

I had to book a room through this hotel due to budget constrained. The room allocated was a good size but it needs a bit of updating. I will not go through the flaws here again as this have been mentioned by other travellers. If you have an intention to pay more than 30EUR for a single room then go look elsewhere. Otherwise this is cheap alternative if you don't mind the noise. Tips: Opt for top floor and avoid the corridor.

No heater in the hotel and the break first room very cold, Dubbel bed room room 3 x 3,5 mtr,2 only, poor break-first no any warm food, interieur of the room very poor. It don't look at the photo'sbelow

Great location, goog breakfast, stylish interior, wi-fi, friendly staff, luggage keeping after checking out.

No heating, I stayed in early December and the room was very cold. But I think it's a good choice for the warmer months trips.
