Staff very nice and helpful, location cannot be better have lots of restaurants, shops, even a local food market
Room a bit old and simple facility
The location of the hotel is excellent and the fact that a simple breakfast is included in the reasonable price adds to the value.
There was no hot water for a shower in the morning.
Noisy, could hear everything! Very basic, thin walls, small room, no kettle, no TV & very poor wi-fi
Good wifi. Cards acceted. Fair breakfast. Great location. Friendly staff.
Very convenient location (though not the most enchanting district), literally a step away from the Ramblas and a 5-minute walk from the Barrio Gotico. It's a 1-star hotel, so do not expect anything to be great, but it's OK.
Upon arrival (by car) we found out that the parking lot is actually far from the hotel, which is very inconvenient if you have heavy luggage, and might full or not... they don't know! Disapponting. We chose to park at another (quite expensive) car park near the hotel (there are plenty in Bcn). Also, the most beautiful thing about the hotel is the patio, but it's forbidden to stay there after 9pm, clearly not to disturb the guests. The facilities are old and the one room key must be left at reception, which I found quite annoying.
The location was very good. only 1 small street away from La Rambla/Liceu metro station. Reception staff were very helpful and kind. The hotel has a terrasse inside and it gives it a charm. Room were good for the price. Its a 1 star hotel but I stayed many times in hotels that claim to be 2-3 stars hotels that were worst than this one
Breakfast was very basic. You can hear EVERYTHING from your room. Especially the hotel maid who clean the rooms around us at 7-8am with the song New York from Alicia keys on repeat. There was no TV or wifi in the room so be ready to stay out late to be intertained.. or bring a book.
Noise level outside. Overuse of disinfectant trying to cover a sewage drainage problem. Wifi only available in one level.
Location can't be beat. Cost was low. Friendly staff. Clean facilities.
Walls were paper thin - could hear everything, sometimes difficult to sleep. Only one outlet, in bathroom. Payment was cash only, the night before checkout. Breakfast - no variety. Exact same every day, with limited choices.
I was staying for 8 nights. The staff was very very nice, helping and friendly. Location is perfect, next to the Rambla. Some supermarkets near the hotel and cheap restaurants.
The breakfast is the worse I ever had in my life! They offer only cereals, some cheese and ham, and both have no taste. Very low quality breakfast, and walls are very thin (typical for Spain) so that you can hear sometimes the neighbours.
The breakfast was good.
The room was so very plain. The first room they put us in was dank, stinky and looked dirty with minimal lighting. We stayed one night in order to not lose our deposit. We did not stay in the first room. The room they switched us to was minimally better...at least it didn't stink.
The biggest problem is the Wi-Fi: my room was at the 3rd floor and the Internet wasn't working in my room: I had to go out to the corridor every time I needed to use it.
Great location Beautiful hotel Clean
very squeaky bed - very annoying
to be told cash only do not accept cards so had to worry about finding cash machines .
Location Assistance with internet connection Breakfast
Building was older but maintained.
Friendly staff on the reception. Great location.
My room had only a window onto the internal atrium part of the hotel with a passage way between along which people walked. The glass was toughened and 'frosted' but there was a large gap of about 50cm between the top of the glass and the window frame, covered only by an awning on the outside. It didn't feel very secure... Also rather noisy at night.
Location was great and staff friendly & helpful
The wifi only being available in a public area. As well the breakfast was very average, there could have been variety.
El Raval was very comforting
Breakfast too simple, Air conditioning was okay but required cleaning, The staff demanded payment by cash
No WiFi, poor breakfast, very noisy at night
Wouldn't accept cards for payment of stay. Cash only.
Staff is very interested for our problems and the sold the problems
Some roos are very small
The location was superb, less than 100 metres from las Ramblas. The staff at the desk were great - informative, efficient and professional.
Rooms were very basic, akin to 1960's decor. They're were two persons in our group so we requested a twin room, instead we were given a room with four single beds overlooking a very busy side street. The breakfast was very basic, continental without the usual assortments of cold meats. Just tea, coffee, generic cereals, and white bread.
Location, close to La Rambla. Value for money
Tiny bedroom No window to outside Bed too hard
Good budget hotel in a very convenient part of Barcelona. The breakfast lived upto expectation and the staff where helpful.
Las Ramblas!! Spoils what is a perfect City.
Very clean. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.
