Very clean. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel is in a great location, very near a metro stop. The breakfast was fantastic every morning. The inner courtyard area is beautiful.
The beds were not the greatest.
Access to Metro and Ramblas was excellent. The hotel is quaint in a historic way. Halls open up to a common sky lighted area - interesting.
They did not take credit cards - a major downfall as far as I am concerned. The street access to the hotel is dirty and kind of creepy. The window in our room had a half window facing the hall, so people in the hall could actually reach over it, into the room. There were shutters, but they had no locks on them and when used, made the room depressingly dark. They did have a safe at the main desk which we used for our valuables.
Staff very good. Location in central Barca very good.
Breakfast could be improved. No fruit or vegetables. Sugar is served instead of Stevia. Fruitjuice contains lots of sugar.
No credir card!
Wonderful location in the heart of Barcelona's old town. Staff very helpful, breakfast usual for Spain. All in all a very good deal.
No bad. Just get an upper floor room.
Great stay in a great place
Central location near La Rambla. Very friendly staff.
Sometimes a bit noisy.
very central hotel, easily found. room was very clean, maid came everyday. service is great, lots of helpful brochures at hotel reception, barcelona map, metro map, discounts at vouchers for excursions... our room on the third floor wasnt noisy at night. aircondition worked fine, and bathroom was bigger than any standard 4*hotel. breakfast was fine, bread, ham, cheese, muffins, nutella :) hotel says there is free wifi in the internal courtyard on the first floor, we even had wifi in our room on the third floor. we stayed out late and were comforted by the fact that at any time, tourist would still be milling about la ramblas and the adjoining streets as if it was time of day. payment is made at hotel, i used my visa to do so. we will return to Barcelona and this will be the hotel we will always choose to do so!
Very good budget hotel in central location. It is not on the nicest street, but it is just 5 mins walk to the best town districts. The room is very simple but you have all you need and the towels are changed every day.
Was little bit noisy on friday night. Not enough sockets... Wi-fi only outside the room.
The building was historic and very interesting The staff were very helpful. The hotel was close to the middle of Las Ramlas. It had a lift.
The beds were single instead of double or queen size and very uncomfortable. The breakfast was a scramble or they ran out of food. The taxi driver said be very careful in the area especially at night!
Location, 24 hour reception, strong signal free wifi, in a dedicated room/courtyard. This hotel has a budget price so expectations are to be matched to price. Location is magic, 100 metres or less to Las Ramblas, right next to a metro station. Tourist information outlets very close.. Local supermarkets. The continental breakfast was basic but that is what we expected. Staff very helpful
Booked on the internet, realised that the location and price meant we were getting an economy deal. On that basis we have no real issues. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel and small items like that,
I liked very much the location of the hotel and the bed and bathroom were clean.
I think the curtains and bed covers should be cleand.
Good location, friendly staff, simple but clean, funky decor
internet downstairs only. Not much variety for breakfast.
Proximity to the rumbler
Food was average
Interesting old Building and very helpful receptionists
Nothing in particular
Τοποθεσία.Φιλικό προσωπικό. Φτηνό και καθαρό. It's place.Friendly staff.Clean for the money.
Low quality breakfast including only basic products like butter, Ham, jam and cheese. Very noisy, we had to change our room.next room was ok but there was water leakage when it rained which was dangerous. We had no hot water one night.I would not recommend this hotel for families that may afford something better.
Location, near Ramblas and the city centre; friendly staff; light breakfast included
Have to pass through noisy crowded streets to get to the hotel; at some point could hear neighbors behind the wall
My brother and me stayed at Peninsular for 4 nights while visiting Barcelona. The hotel was exactly as espected, great quality for the price you pay. The rooms are basic, but clean. Free breakfast was nice, free wifi great and the staff was really helpfull and friendly. We slept very well, it's really quiet at night. One night we decides to go out, and trough the hostel we got free entry at Shoko and Opium, which saved us quite some money. There was a 24 hour reception (you could just leave your key there, no need to be afraid to lose it), we had airconditioning and we were able to store our luggage on the check in and check out date. Really nice hotel with a really good service. We would both recommend it to others.
Location and the very nice staff.
Having to settle account with cash - booking.com indicated that they would accept credit cards - not true - just lucky I had the cash!
Location is very close to La Rambla.
WiFi is not available in the room. It is available only in the hall of the 1st floor which is not air conditioned at all.
Needs some tender loving care.
Convenient to the waterfront and La Ramdlas
The area was in a small alley street which was very dirty and smelled of urine with areas where people had been sick.
