Creative change of the place from an industrial setting to a confortable place to stay in.
Difficult to find, and we had to wait for any person to check us in. We called booking.com to help us.
An interesting adaptation if former warehouse into a nice and affordable pensione. Owner was nice and informative. His lack of English and our lack of euskere or Spanish didn't get much in a way of getting basic info about San Sebastián. The owner explained that a bus into Sebastian loops nearby every 15-20 minutes round the clock, and is quite cheap, we used the car as there was three of us so paying for parking vs bus for three would have been the same. loved the transformation of the building and the commercial elevator to get to the room
The surrounding area is a little bare and industrial looking
Helpful staff, good value, fantastic facilities.
Walls a little thin. Couple in next room kept us up half the night shouting and laughing.
You pull up to a factory in an industrial area. You take an industrial elevator big enough for a car. Then the door opens into a funky artsy loft like Soho like place. Everything was built by the owner and is top drawer.
Nice owner. Very helpfull. The hotel is in a start up area a bit outside San Sebastian.
You need a car. Not a problem for us.
Price/performance, especially for San Sebastian.
You should use a car to go downtown, around the hotel there's no bar or restaurant, but you can be prepared if you know that.
The modern shower room The standard of finish the unusual modern design the drinks vending machine! ease of parking Cleanliness Friendly excellent wifi
Quite tricky to find You are very much in an industrial estate the room is very small for four The noise from building works
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Original design of the pension.
Pleasant welcome. Excellent bathroom.
Located a bit outside San Sebastian but with a bus some 5 minutes walk away the city can be reached within 15-20 minutes. Ticket single fare @ 1.80 eur is much cheaper and more convenient option than driving and leaving a car in the city. Hostel as such from the outside looks scary but inside really nice. Great option for 2-3 days stay. Apartment rather small but has a small kitchenette, fridge, toaster and microwave. Wifi works fine. Small windows with industrial view but if you just need a place to sleep close to San Sebastian, really great value for money.
Nothing really. It is not a 5* hotel but we got exactly what we expected.
The owners are super friendly and welcoming. They speak some English and gave us great suggestions and tips for San Sebastian. He even brought a bottle of cold cider and two glasses to our room as we were weary and wanted something cold to drink. Very affordable and accommodating and only 5 minutes to SS.
The owners seemed a bit overwhelmed. The elevator was out of order and it is a big freight elevator that is confusing to operate anyway and that my kids were creeped out by. When we got there no one answered our call to check in and we had to get in when some other guests came home. Also they forgot to renew our key cards the second day so we had to chase them down at night so we could get in our room. I would NOT try to find this place at night. It is a dark warehouse area. But overall a very positive experience.
bus access to San Sebastian. The Pension was nicely decorated.
It was noisy. we could hear the industrial lift going up and down, the window shutters being electronically opened and closed, showers, and other guests talking. We spent ten nights in different hotels and this was the only place we could not regulate the air conditioning - it was too cold..and kept making 'clicking' sounds during the night. We also had problems with the safe. The room was a little small, kept hitting off the TV as there was not much space between the end of the bed and the wall. Unfortunately all of these things took from the enjoyment of the stay.
extremely helpful owner clean rooms
industrial neighborhood good to spend the night but not a good neighborhood
Out of San Sebastian but close enough. Very helpful owner
Poor soundproofing between rooms
Noisy fan at night Difficult to find - more signs would be great Quite pricey for location
Even though the owner didn't speak English he was very friendly and welcoming!
Said there was a washing machine there. There wasn't one in our room but he did do our washing for is for an extra €10.
A nice well equipped apartment, about 250 m from a local supermarket. Close to San Sebastian. The owner will do his best in order to please you, in spite of the fact that he doesn't speak English.
The location was about 20 minutes from the centre by bus which wasn't a problem because the buses are so cheap and regular. Also being able to park the car outside was a huge bonus The accommodation was great, just what we needed and the countryside around is beautiful. There are loads of cider houses nearby and some great restaurants. All in all a very good experience and we would happily recommend PA to others.
The Wifi broke for a day or two and there weren't any bowls in our Kitchen so if you like your cereal then use the big cups. Very minor things, we would happily go back.
Very friendly and helpful staff that spoke good English Beautiful rooms with a nice view of the mountains Close to bus stop and restaurants Excellent wifi
easy access to bus to St Sebastian. Owner Enrico went out of his way to help us & equip us with info about St Sebastian eg bus routes, entertainment etc
Difficulty in finding directions to the pension on arriving in Astigarraga
Staff very helpful. Clean, light and bright. Value for money.
Area - we knew what we were going tho, thus no complaints.
the sight from the windows and a very comfortable room
Outstanding staff. Great value for the money
The interior contrasts with the exterior and its in excellent condition. Very clean and the staff is very friendly.Very good facilities for a Pension.
The exterior appearance is a bit degraded.
Contrast between old industrial location/façade with modern fresh completely revamped loft-like interior Personal treatment by Kike and family Tips and tricks from owner Short distance to San Sebastián
