Score from 441 reviews Excellent
The location was excellent. Staff very pleasant.
Can be a little bit noisy at times.
The hosts were lovely people. The location is excellent in the old part of tow, near the beach and fabulous restaurants, and a 15 minute walk from the train station.
The neighbourhood is a little bit exuberant on the weekends... But that's part of the charm, isn't it?
Fantastic location right on the edge of the old city. Everything we wanted to enjoy our stay
great location, very clean, wonderful staff
our room was stuffy, with only a window to a smelly back alley and no airconditioning (there's central air which guests have no control over and was rarely turned on even though it was quite hot at night). water pressure was poor, and there wasn't enough hot water.
Best location in the heart of the old town. Owners were a very nice spanish speaking couple who did everything they could to make our stay as good as possible.
No air conditioning so it was loud with the window open.
The hotel is centrally located, close to the beach, old town, bars and restaurants. The owners are charming and helpful. I would recommend this spot to friends for a safe, clean, quiet spot in the center of a lovely gastronomic town.
Great Room with a very nice view, Great Location in Old Part of town
Directions Not easy to find
helpful, friendly Staff even dried my wet shoes from the heavy rain that night great location close to the Pintox bars in the old town, La Concha beach and the new town very close to nearby shops and bars free Wi Fi close to bus transport hub old style lift with a bench seat! just make sure you close both sets of doors properly
shower water was only warm and room could have been a little warmer when the temperature dropped lower than forcast! couldn't find any English speaking channels?
great location very helpful owners clean room, good ensuite
the lift street noise at night
Friendly staff, great location and clean comfortable room
Room a little small for a triple with too much furniture eg sofa limiting space to manoeuvre. Otherwise great.
The hosts were excellent; accommodating, friendly and helpful. Our room was very quiet, the beds were very comfortable, and the room was very clean.
No individual control of air conditioning.
The owner of the Pension did all she could to make sure I was welcome, my needs were met and to pass the time of day.
Great location. The hostess was very friendly and helpful.
The bed and pillow were uncomfortable. Also the air cond. on the first night wasn't turned on until approx. 11.00 pm and on the 2nd. night it failed to fire. This left the room very hot.
Hard to find
Service, Location, and Teresa the host was wonderful and very helpful with all the staff very accommodating.
This is a great base for visiting San Sebastian's major sights and for doing day trips (eg to Biarritz or Pamplona). Just 5 mins walk to the beach, market and bus-stop, it is also surrounded by a variety of dining options; from sit-down restaurants serving local food and fresh fish; to the typical cafes (for breakfast) and Pintxos bars. Very clean room, with basic amenities provided, including hair dryer and good wifi connection.
Only complaint was that it got very noisy on the weekend... noisy enough to wake you up during the night. But maybe it was noisier than usual due to it being a festa weekend.
Very friendly and helpful staff Excellent cleanliness, room done daily and fresh towels I was lent a beach towel, which was nice Given some local shopping suggestions Despite central location, very quiet and peaceful Elevator to second floor is very handy for luggage (or if you're travelling with children)
The double room I occupied as a single was only big enough to fit the necessary furniture (bed, wardrobe, desk, bedside tables) with little room for suitcases or moving around. That said, I think it is probably a very standard situation for pensions in San Sebastián and I still think it was value for money.
Excellent location as very close to beach and other attractions. The room (view of a central court area) was comfortable and very clean. We stayed during the summer festival week so it was very busy and at times noisy but our room was quiet.
Muy recomendable para una visita a la ciudad
Location, lovely old building located centrally in San Sebastian, comfortable beds and helpful owners.
We arrived in late August when a festival was in progress, this made it quite noisy at night.
the hotel is located right on the main strip of san sebastian which is very convenient, lots of restaurants and cafes close by and the beaches a short walk away. the hotel itself was clean. and comfortable, nothing fancy but was more than suitable for our 3 night stay.
air conditioning could not be controlled from the room, we had to request the front desk to turn it on which was a bit annoying. on the first night we had to sleep with the windows open because it was so hot and were woken at 7am by the people in the next room.
Location Friendly staff Large room
Could be quite noisy (street noise) Lots of stairs to the second floor
A perfect central location within easy walking distance for the pintxos, the cafes, the beaches and our special favourite, the whisky museum. Staff friendly and speak (halting) English.
The pension is situated in Boulevard Alameda; the street entertainers have moved here (with their loudspeakers) from Avenida de la Libertad so don't expect a peaceful lie-in in the morning.
Excellent location. The staff are really friendly and efficient. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
During the semana grande, best to avoid the rooms overlooking the Boulevard: very noisy!
Loved the location - so close to everything (beach, shops and good food!). Air-conditioning and they lent me a beach towel for the day when I had none. Lovely pleasant couple!!
