This was not a bad experience as such - the room was a little dim, mainly due to it being one that looked onto an interior well/patio, so not much natural light. But there was nothing wrong with the room. It was arguably better than one my mother had at the swish Londres y Inglaterra down the road on the Paseo de la Concha. Mine had a better wardrobe, and the body of the room was slightly bigger. She paid a lot more, of course, for their very basic small room with a tiny wardrobe.
Teresa very helpful and friendly, and accommodating.
Second floor, shares ground entrance with other places, including another pension. You get a key for the ground entrance door, there is a quaint, old-fashioned lift (with a comfortable bench!) - or you can use the spiral stairwell. To enter the property you get a credit card sized plastic card, which also serves to enter the room and to open the modern safe in the wardrobe. All in all, very adequate. Thank you Teresa (Portuguese) and Elias (Spanish) - a good wife and husband double act!
