Staff location cleanliness.
The only sitting area out of bedrooms was locked evernight at 10:00pm until 9:00am so a little aukward using.ternet and relaxing.
Friendly staff (young lady from Danmark :) ) Location is good : city centre and not far from the sea
Location and very difficult to find and no safe parking
cold room not well aired place
500 year old building, Very nice place.
I stayed in the dorm room. Everything was great. The hostel is one of the cleanest hostels I have ever been in and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a kitchen available for use until the reception closes at 10pm. It is right in the centre of the old town which is really convenient. As far as hostels go it it a good one!
-Great location -Very helpful staff for area recommendations -Kitchen
-Soft beds -Need more bathrooms -Kitchen locked at night, so if you leave early in the morning you can't get your food
location in the old center close to the bars not too crowded end of October the other guests, the price, and staff try to be helpful
noise from the street and my bed was right at the window. At night groups of people walk by talking and singing loudly. Squeaky floor and bunk bed. Bathroom is a bit away from the room and lack of cosiness in the pension.
Great location in the heart of the old town, very close to beaches and restaurants too.
Lots of street noise so probably not ideal if you're a light sleeper. Also the power points were lacking and the entrance was always very dark, even during the day.
Clean bathrooms and its central location.
The room we stayed had no windows.
I like the comfort of the mattress I almost have the bathroom for myself! It was mostly quiet Estefania was busy went i arrived however she greeted me with a smile and offer me a great deal of info as things to do, i was only staying for a day so she pointed out the top 3 things to do :) Thanks Estefania!! xxx Kika
It was a bit noisy at times, just a bit though
Location and stafff are very good. When you want to enjoy the pinxtos bars, go to this place you are in the middle of it!
The noise at night till 5 am in the morning. And it"s starts again when they clean the streets early in the morning.
Can't really fault the hostel. The location was right in the centre of old town which is where all the restaurants are. Wifi was great.
The bed was lumpy and dipped
- very nice location in the historical city centre - clean - friendly staff - relatively quiet
- no breakfast - a bit expensive, but that's everywhere in San Sebastian
Location to all the best pintxos bars!
During semana grande the party on the street outside does not stop til 7 in the morning, so if you have trouble sleeping with noise it's a bit tough.
Helpful staff. Bathroom is large with hair dryer! Toilet paper is always sufficient, towel is provided. Bed, pillows and blanket are comfortable.
Could be quite noisy outside on the street as my bed is just nearby the balcony.
great location in heart of old city with good facilities but quite pricey i thought but as is all accomodation in this area I'd imagine!
I asked to be changed from initial bedroom as extremely noisy however unfortunately my next room had no window as such to outside but window which opened to laundry area so no natural air coming into room. Also overhead fan didnt work but did have a fan on floor.
central location just above very good tapas bar and close to both beach, port, restaurants and central square
too noisy and many broken installation ie. bedlamps.
Super friendly staff who provided great help and gave us excellent tips! Location is amazing when you want to go out in city! (and you really want to do that!) The beds were good, and the shower had good water pressure.
I wad warm, and having no A/C or even a ceiling fan, we had to sleep with the windows open. But on a Friday night, that wasn't really possible until 5am :( (Kids didn't have trouble sleeping!)
The staff were extremely helpful and reasonable. The location is slap bang in the middle of the old town, exactly where you want to be. I would have no hesitations returning (but would ask for a room with a window).
One of the rooms (an internal room with no window) was far too hot (essentially an airing cupboard).
good located in the middle of the old town
one dorm for seven people and a really bad bed
Location amazing, right in the old town however some outside noise
Squeaky bunk beds, uncomfortable pillows, left at 8am and the kitchen was locked with all our food in it
One staff member friendly.
We checked in late, stood in reception with heavy bags, looking tired and hot for 30 minutes while the 2 staff members ran around sorting out one group in front of us without much acknowledgement. Then told us we would have to hurry if we were going to make dinner at any of the restaurants? Then the keys to the room wouldnt work so they transferred us to their "other" premises around the corner. This place was clearly a cheaper place and more of a hostel than a Pension/Hotel. No refund for the difference in price or the stuff around as of yet. We also clearly looked unhappy as we had driven from Barcelona to San Seb in a car with no Aircon and then were told to change hotels.... rant over.
Location, staff, windows out onto hustle and bustle of street.
Common area and reception very cramped.
Good location in the old town. Can't say much else since we didn't actually stay here because we arrived too late. But we had some breakfast here in the morning. (The breakfast was so-so, in a small room - with one table - that also serves as the reception.)
It's hard to review this hotel since we didn't actually stay here although we had a booking. We arrived at 11:30 at night (after driving from Pamplona) and discovered the hotel was closed! And no one answered the phone. (The hotel closes at 10 pm - in a country where people eat dinner at that time and stay up late!) We used Booking.com to find another place in that vicinity (lower-quality, but open 24 hours - Balerdi).
