Marie Carmen and Eduardo were very welcoming. We had booked 2 rooms but when we got there they let us stay, for the same price, in their roof terrace apartment one floor up as we were a family. Very good of them as we had much more space and were all together. Very Spanish decor and eclectic furnishings…basic but clean and perfectly fine. Beds were not the comfiest but neither were they the worst we have had. Over all we had a wonderful experience staying in Yegen. I had wanted to go there for years having read 'South from Granada' many years ago. The Pension provided lovely tapas with a drink and we were made to feel welcome. Fabulous walks in the countryside in an area still relatively untouched by tourism. A very traditional Spanish hillside village. We loved it!
There was nothing that we didn't like although the breakfast was definitely fairly basic (jam on toast and a cup of coffee) but adequate.
