The friendliness of the receptionists who were most helpful. Se also below. The first room we were given No 304 was terrible with hardly any room to move. However the receptionist willingly gave us room 204 which was much, much better. I also feel that a couple of extra pillows could be provided in the room as standard plus the provision of basic tea/coffee making facilities. The cost to the hotel would be minimal but I am positive such additions would be appreciated by people staying there. I can also add that the only staff members we saw were the receptionists.

The staff really were fantastic, extremely helpful and pleasant. This was quite unexpected considering that it's a budget hotel. Even the lady covering the night shift at 02:30am said 'welcome home' as she opened the door. Room and bathroom small and simple but sufficient.

The staff were very friendly, and helpful, 24 hour service and spoke English. The rooms were clean enough. Hot shower. Location was good if you want to be in the centre of town. Very affordable prices. It's fine for a couple of lads out for a boozy weekend, or pack packers etc - and for that situation I probably would stay again. It's definately a step up from a Hostel. I would recommend this hotel, but not for a family holiday. The rooms were very basic. The hotel was hard to find, even for my friend who lives in Barcelona. There is nothing other then a bathroom and beds. There is no bar/restaurant area in the Hotel. The sound insulation was terrible you could hear clearly people talking in other rooms plus a lot of noise from out side. I wouldn't stay there with my family.

I enjoyed my stay and would likely stay again. The room was basic but clean and the staff were exceptionally helpful. It was within easy walking distance of everything (including tourist destinations). Whilst I slept well, my room would not have been suitable for a light sleeper (I shut the bathroom door which eliminated street noise, however I could hear the lift moving). During my stay there was one morning I could smell smoke coming from another room but otherwise was good. There are homeless people who sometimes hang out in the alley nearby but I was never approached by them or felt threatened. The alley was washed regularly and it did not

The room we got was great, We were lucky, according to the plan of the floor we got the biggest room on the floor. It even had two nice chairs and a small round table. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hot water. For the price we paid it was excellent. Poor sound isolation. We could hear everything from the room next door and the noise from outside. Theres not a lot of traffic but the people outside the hotel were very noisy and looked suspicious. If I were alone I wouldn't like to go past them every day. No wi-fi. Couldn't open the window, so the lights must be on during the day. Only one electric socket.

It had a lift, it was cheap, the staff were friendly and helpful and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. They had adapters for English plugs available at reception. They had a free luggage storage service. The room had a lovely balcony outside the window... But the bars on the window prevented access to it! The whole area was dodgy as anything.. But that may just be the whole of Barcelona. You had to leave a 20 euro deposit for the tv remote, but the signal was diabolical anyway. The shower did not work on one morning.

The location and the staff, they are wonderful. They are polite and friendly. I did not have choice because the gsma Mobile World Congress. As it is a Pension it is ok if you need to stay there only one or two nights, because everything is small. The bathroom is the worst part, the tv is old and a small one.

The only good thing about Pensión Miami was the location. The only good thing was that the price for the room got cheaper when we booked. But if not, Pensión Miami is just a place to sleep and that is it. No real confort, no real security. Esthetically it is certainly not worth it.

The service at the front desk is everything I needed. I did not need much except a single room with a private bath and the price was great for the facilities.

It was in a really good location, really quite affordable for a week long stay for two people. There were lots of good bars and restaurants on the closest main street, many of which were quite inexpensive and good if travelling on a budget. It's very close to the Universitat metro station and walking distance from Sant Antoni and Boqueria markets as well as La Rambla and the gothic quarter. The room was also really spacious - a double bed, bath/shower and ensuite and was cleaned daily. During our stay the hotel was being renovated so there was a lot of building noise but it was kept to a minimum - only ever in the morning/afternoon when we were usually out seeing the city anyway. The street below often got quite loud so getting sleep at night was an issue most nights. It also would have been good if there was a kitchenette in the room because if you are on a budget you're forced to eat out for every meal which kind of negated staying somewhere so cheap. I would still recommend it to other travellers

Excellent location, very close to Universitat Metro Station which is one stop from Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas. Excelelnt friendly staff. Noisy outside at night. No fault of hotel, just inconsiderate people with no regards for others trying to sleep.

Multi lingual staff who couldn't be more helpful. Secure. Location ideal for both Aerobus, Metro and The Ramblas lift only goes to 5th floor so have to walk up to 6th (not good with a suitcase)

Cheap, great location, very friendly / helpful staff, facilities were clean and acceptable. Rooms were not well insulated... In our case that meant we were serenaded by sex sounds from the neighboring room for an hour or so every night. They charged for WiFi. Wasn't an issue because the bar right across the street had free WiFi, more of an annoyance than anything.

Really good location, room was cleaned carefully every day, polite staff. It was very cold in the room, no any piece of the carpet on the floor, absence of sound isolation-I could hear neighbours. Impossible to sleep at night because of the terrible noise from the street.
