Most of review below are correct - staff don't speak English much, it's a bit noisy street, but it's renovated, clean, cheap, just about <100 meters from metro. Wi-Fi, hot water, room was cleaned every day - fantastic! No facilities (common areas), you basically 'll have just your room and that's it, no lobby or something like that. Well, it not a hotel, but good place to sleep with good location and reasonable price.
Good value for the money considering the high cost of rooms in Madrid. Air conditioning and TV, very clean room, very good wi-fi and although it is not near the centre the Estrecho Metro Line 1 station is one block away. Staff are helpful if you need to leave your luggage for a few hours after check out. Recommendable Pension.
A bit noisy at times, but nothing than a good pair of ear-plugs- if needed -can´t fix.
friendly, simple, very close to subway calle navarra, clean rooms.............................
rooms somewhat narrow, no table, but still reasonable at this price............................
Noisy screaming guests
Stuff Cleaness Privacy
Stairs are a bit narrow for people having big suitcases
very clean , airconditioner , tv , close to metro station .
no staff who can speak and understand english .. but very very very kind . only cash......... accepted
Nice clean room,friendly helpful staff
Pension is located up four flights of stairs, first three flights are private flats/apts. Stairs at night are a bit dark. Location is good, but not great for women travelling on their own, the side street where it is located can be a bit noisy and crowded at night
Friendly staff, perfect cleaness (my room was cleaned and bed linen was replaced every day) Good location - about 70m from metro. Air conditioning which is a must in Spain even in May :)
fresh renewal with decorating materials let's say non hi end quality that give of some chemical smell that concentrates if window is closed. But open window fixes this and I think it'll go away soon.
- fresh rooms(refurbished); - daily cleaning including changing of bath towels; - good location (close to underground station+Santiago Bernabeu);
-quite noisy corridor;
they do not know English well!
Very clean ,very cheap , really near to metro :)
The staff guy was very kind, although he didn't speak too much English, he really tried his best to understand and made me understand using Google translate.
The wifi was too slow, sometimes even didn't let me connect.
Great room at a great price. Spotlessly clean and very near to the metro. Handy for shops and places to eat.
For the price there was nothing of note that I could fault
On problem the hotel don't take the money by card only cash
Wifi worked well, saff very friendly and ready to help you, good location. Recommended for short periods.
From pictures and reviews the place seems amazing but the room and bathroom were very small and the walls thin enough to hearing my neighbour snoring.
Fantastic value for money. Similar cost to hostel but much more privacy with your own room key and ensuite, great shower - v gd pressure. They changed our towels and made beds every day which was nice and as in hotel. Very clean, less than 100m from Estrecho metro station in area of Tetuan. 10 metro trip ticket just €12.20, very convenient. Would definitely recommend Pension Navarra and Madrid for a visit. The stairway entrance up to the 2nd floor lodgings is a bit dark and foreboding, the area isn't opulent to say the least but v friendly staff, friendly nice family run grocery stores metres from front door, handy metro location. For what you are paying, we paid just north of 100 euro for 3 nights, two double beds in ensuite room. Fantastic value, safe, clean
The area isn't that nice but you will spend zero time there. Leave early am and get metro into more central areas, come home to sleep. Good showers. No real negatives
Without elevator is a really big problem for the person who have luggage!
All the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The facilities were beautifully clean and comfortable. Was very good value for the price we paid. I would definitely stay there again if in Madrid.
The language barrier was a slight issue at times, but nothing overly difficult.
