close to the centre, and very cheap, i just needed accommodation for one night, so was ok staying here, wouldn't recommend for more than a night though
room was very cold (January), no extra blankets, room wasn't very nice, wifi wasn't great
San Gines is run by admirable locals who care the mot about your comfort. Reception was always available for help and advise. Cleaners were super friendly and kept excellent cleanliness in our room. One time repair was needed in the bathroom and the problem was handled instantaneously. All in all amazing place even for longer stays. We spent there a week, a would go back any time.
Wifi is available in the lobby only and it is low speed and disconnecting often.
Pedro made me hot tea while I used the WiFi in the sitting area. Also I had a porch on my room. I only shared the bath with one other person. It is in the heart of the historical area.
WiFi is not available in the rooms but that was okay.
They waited for me after the closing time around midnight it was really appreciated. Very clean room.
the location is very central. the price .
they turn off the hot water if there are not many guests staying at the hotel i asked the man at the hotel why there is no hot water in the morning and he said i will turn the hot water on in a a sec i waited for half an hour and still had no hot water i had to have very cold shower which was not very nice
Staff was helpful, but still they could improve their English. Pension was close to services
Vague individuals every evening in the loung after 10 p.m. -Room positions is so awkward to describe: every window of the room of every floor was positioned in front of each other in for directions. That means everyone saw everyone everywhere. -Room smelt chlorine and no hot water in the morning -Noise isolation is TERRIBLE
- very cheap hotel close to the main bus station - ideal for traveling around the island - spacious room with own bathroom - level of cleanliness was very good - staff was very nice
- wi-fi only at the reception desk - staff did not speak English
- friendly price - private bathroom - hot water (not everywhere :)
- poor english of staff members - wireless connection not available on 3rd floor - noisy place
A clean, comfortable, unassuming hotel in a great location in the older part of town. Very good value for money.
Very friendly staff, always trying to help and give good tips. Hot water is always available. The room is small though. Location close to the end of a pedestrian shopping street. Near the hotel there is a big public parking.
Wifi is only available in the public space and is a bit slow.
Perfect location with all shops, pubs, coach station and the airport. Amazing staff! Clean and tidy rooms.Great place to meet interesting people from around the world. Good value for money.
WiFi only in the lounge
Staff very helpful and rooms cleaned daily. Excellent location.
Contary to the advert, no rooms have a TVand windows are very small, opening unto a shared service duct, therfore no view. No balcony. Toilet flushing very poor. No bathmats No lift.
the reception is more than friendly and helped us with everything we asked. thank you very much Pedro!
no wifi in rooms. only in reception.
Very close to the center
No balcony The room was looking in an inside area
In general everything. Very friendly staff. Helpful. Location great.
trouble with hot water
staff very friendly. they speak english but do try out your spanish and they'll help you improve! thanks to everyone for making my stay such a pleasure.
The staff was smiling, considerating and helpful. The location is very good - near Charco de San Gines and at the end of the main shopping street, 5 minutes walk from Estacion de Guaguas.
The room had a strong smell of the cigarette smoke. I could change the room and the other one was better.
close to the beach and to the city centre, friendly staff, free wifi at the reception
a bit difficult to find
the staff are very friendly price
cleanliness no warm water in the morning, and water leaking into the room from the bathroom beds are very noisy
Single room on second floor, facing the street. I liked: very friendly staff at check-in (owner?), small but comfortable room, with everything I needed. WiFi available at the reception on the ground floor.
Little problem with the bathrooms: some were not working. No warm water in the morning.
Staff, location, price.
The staff only speak Spanish, being in the Canary Islands, so if you have no Spanish it can be difficult. But, they look after your suitcase for free if you are away a few days, the rooms are really clean, if basic, I cannot fault them. The wi if is fine in reception, it is close to the facilities, great swimming to be had on non tourist beach, throw in Google translate and lots of sign language, it's a Fab place to stay with real people who live and work here.
The communal bathrooms. Only one toilet locked on my floor and the water was freezing. However, the other two shared toilets were being renovated while I was staying, which may explain this. For the price, this place is fabulous.
Staff was super friendly and super helpful and made me feel very welcome! The building is beautiful and clean and the location is perfect if you want to be in the city centre.
Light sleepers be aware the walls are very thin and the doors of the rooms close very loudly. You can hear when someone is moving furniture or talks loud as well.
This is not a luxury hotel, rather a basic one instead. And if you don't expect more than that, you'll enjoy your stay here because it's perfect for its cathegory. The place is clean, very well situated (~10 minutes walk to center), the staff is really lovely (thank you very much for all your help Pili! :) ) so I would stay again here anytime I would come back to Arrecife!
Cooking facilities, big rooms, terrace view over charco, nice crew
