Close to bus station, fine for a stop over visit
The place stank of cigarettes from the owners / managers which (in my opinion) is disgusting to sell to people as accommodation... Unfortunately in Spain standards appear to be very low especially for budget accommodation... Even though it is budget accommodation they are overcharging... Wouldn't recommend beyond a one night stay...
The location was great in a neighbourhood close to all the main attractions
It is simple but okay.
No cards exepted for payment, just spnisch speaking
Small, clean, nice, quiet place, within 15-20 min walk from "everything", with friendly host and some local friendly tapas-bars around.
Missing language skill, only Spanish. Quite small rooms, small beds. Bathrooms in the hall, but only 3m away from any room. Safety only adequate as this was missing: At least fire/smoke detectors in all rooms and two escape routes should be standard in all pensions/hotels worldwide!
the best was price and host is very kind person part of the town where is pension is nice and close to the city center
it is not sound-proofed and there was no WiFi
quiet. Not far from centre
Arrived at the Pension at 00.30 am, via intercom they replied that my reservation was canceled due to my 30 minutes late arrival. My room was given to another person. At least they didn't charged me any fee.
Right in front of anton martin station
Rooms too small. But i guess its all the same in madrid
It is a simple place, very clean, cozy and spacious. It is well located near the center, the bus station and train station. The hosts are very kind, warm and ready to help you in whatever you need. For a city like Bilbao, the price is quite acceptable.
Wireless internet is not so good, but is good enough for essential research.
Pretty close to the important things (old City, river, etc) Clean Comfertable
Wifi never worked A little further away than written but not far
the location was great for me, a nice brief walk to the old town and overall a quiet neighborhood. the owner, while not speaking much english, was accommodating and amiable. and the place was spotless. so kudos for that. i never had to wait for the bathroom, which is greatly appreciated.
its true it was a bit loud in the mornings and later evenings, but thats just the way of the culture, no? the hallways are not super soundproof, so you can hear the comings and goings of visitors, but typically it was not very frequent. the wifi never worked while i was there and the owners made little effort to change that beyond a shrug. but bilbao is crawling with free wifi spaces, so it wasn't that big of a deal.
Friendly and helpfull personel. Very clean. Gave me a quiet room, as I had asked for.
Personal at the reseption on the evening was very helpvoll and friendly.
Breakfastcost was given as 3 Euros. But For that you could get some sweet thing, crossan coffee. No cheese, eggs, vegetables no bread. For 2 additional slide of bread and coffee İ had to pay 8 euros. Very poor for that price
Even sharing a bathroom, everything was very clean and quiet. Just stayed one night, but it was a great place to rest and within walking distance of the bus station.
It is really hard to find although it is in the city center.
Good location and made to feel very welcome
Just 10-15 minutes from the bus station and all the main sites. I stayed for three nights and received a lot of useful information about Bilbao as well as Getxo. The room is basic but clean and comfortable.
Quite a lot of road noise in the morning and late at night. The Wi-Fi was on and off sometimes, but it worked.
Quiet location but still close to city centre about 15min walk from bus and train stations which are in different directions.
Of three hostals I booked through booking.com, I tried to book for two each time but in two cases, including this one, I ended up with a reservation for one. Here I had to pay an extra 10 Eros a night and at the other 18 Euros, turning a good deal into only an OK price. In both cases, I was happy with accommodation but would likely have booked elsewhere. I am not sure if the problem was with me or my windows phone or with these locations on booking.com. On the same trip I used the site to book hotels in Spain and France with no errors.
Great value for money. Owners very helpful, booked a taxi for me and made sure I was awake for it! Fast internet.
Location wasn't amazing, but near enough to the main parts of town.
The lady was sweet but completely unprepared for the booking.
Map links sent us round in circles. Twin rooms booked were doubles. They knocked another guest up and asked if he would move! We had to wait while they made beds in another wing. Rooms were extremely dated, old used soap in sinks, mould all over shared bathroom, family chatting and dogs kept me awake till 1am. Final straw - they didnt take cards, it was 11pm at night and I was told to go search for a cash point. The nearest didnt work. Eventally managed to get hold of another party member to bring some cash back. All not what you need so late and after a 2 week walking holiday.
Very nice and quiet hotel. A 15m walk to all the main attractions in the city.
It was fine for one night and it was not expensive
Reservation not honoured, hotel full so told to catch metro alone at 10pm across city. No fear, so insisted on prepaid taxi who was given wrong address. Thank goodness he asked around 4 times to find anonymous doorway. B for effort, f for competence
Very friendly lady in charge. No complaints. Bilbao is also so beautiful and friendly.
The owners made every effort to make sure we were comfortable and to take care of every one of our needs.
I didn't find a single thing to complaint about.
