Noisy — outside and inside. Reception was just outside my Room #10 door, and when people checked in the hotel you would have thought they were standing in the same room with you. My last night I could easily hear conversations and a baby crying through the thin walls. And just below on Amistad are several bars and the noise from them and the street was easily heard, especially on the weekend. I did not get one good night’s sleep in Pension Zubia and I use wax earplugs. Room 10 is in serious need of sound-proofing.
The room could not be completely darkened; the metal window covering had horizontal slits that admit light, in this case the neon lights from Amistad.
A cramped room. The room should be converted to a single bed; the double bed sucks up too much of space. There is only room for one end table, one light, the TV is off center in a corner, there is a mere 8 inches clearance between a shelf and the end of the bed. No sink, no desk. Clean but spartan.
WiFi was mediocre: often slow and sometimes it abruptly dropped or frustratingly slowed to the point where it was impossible to perform useful tasks or stream video online.
Water sometimes changed from hot to ice cold in the shower after just a few minutes.
Just okay. Excellent and friendly service from Susana, but my Room #10 had several deficiencies....
