The location is great and close from all things. The staff are friendly. We like every single thing at the hotel.
Noise from the street Bad smell in the bathroom Very noisy airconditioning
Location is great for visits to Plaza Major and the tapas bars.
Bedrooms need a soft seating area! Breakfast room was small and not enough seating when its busy - we had to stand and wait in a very noisy dining room for 10 minutes before we could get chairs!
*very bad service of staff *bad quality of beds *unbelievable that the incoming door was several times closed without any system to open for the gasts.
Location High tech
The location was great and the staff very willing to help
Wifi, walking distance to many places.
Run-down neighborhood, beggars all around.
Room we had came with balcony which was added bonus (7th floor room 3) and was clean, spacious. Location was great, close to main square and shopping areas. It is close to Sol metro
Breakfast was basic but adequate, no bar at the hotel but lots of choice nearby
Location is excellent
Basically good modern features but not well maintained, starting to get a bit tired. Our room had curtains falling off the rod, chipped woodwork, terrace dirty and not well set up.
Location is perfect, in the middle of everything Wifi connection is good and fast Modern and comfortable rooms Good breakfast
-the staff was very helpful and friendly -the location was excellent -the premises was nice and clean -it is right beside a supermarket which is very convenient to purchase snacks, fruit, and water.
-it is a little loud however that is to be expected when you are right in the centre of the city. -there is a truck at the supermarket which unloads and reloads all night.
Location breakfast Wi-Fi in your room comfort elevators employees very helpful
That I have to return home
The location was perfect. Nice staff and good breakfast.
The beds was too hard. I would recommend the hotel if the beds was better. It is hard to recommend the hotel if you cannot sleep.
Room very comfortable, clean and breakfast was very varied. Will definitely recommend this hotel.
The room was great. Situated near lots of shops and bars - ideal
Breakfast selection could have been slightly better, but good over all
The location was great. The staff was helpful.
Very small bed. A little beat noisy as the hotel is located on Calle Major and near Plaza Major.
The staff were great the location is excellent overall a great experience
Nothing everything was perfect
The best about this hotel is location. its in the middle of old town, nearly most of important tourist sites are within walking distance. And its next to a food market and many restaurants.
the lobby is very small, and staff seems pretty occupied.
The room was more than I expected. The hotel is 100 yards from the plaza and many choices of food. Right across the street is the mercado de San Miguel, which at night is a party in itself! Enjoyed it and wish we could've stayed longer.
These very bright lights came on around 11pm and lit up the entire room. But closed the drapes and all was good.
Great Location for visting Madrid
-The quality of bed - Basic and simple breakfast
good standard ,clean and well presented hotel.
no long mirror in bedroom and no tea/coffee facilities in bedroom for early morning/ late night drinks.
The hotel is located at a very good spot in the city Center of Madrid, next to the Plaza Major and the San Miguel Market. We received an upgrade to a room with a balcony, which was very nice. The room was very big, a good bed, and lovely bathroom, all clean. The staff was very friendly. A very good deal, especially the price/quality is worthwhile. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
We didn't had any disappointments
Staff was excellent with very good English and endless willingness to help. We got from them the best information we could wish for, regarding sites, events, transportation, shoppings etc. We took family room for 6 persons. It was very spacious (we had a lot of luggage) and it had 2 bathrooms, which was VERY convenient ! One of them really huge with water massage in the shower ! Light system in the room was amazing, very well decorated and designed. Room was decorated VERY VERY nice and modern. We got a room facing the street. Aside from the great view we had plenty of sun light. Location was perfect for our needs. Just few meters from the entrance there is a shop for all types of food you'd need including beverages and amzing fruits, all at very low prices and - it was opened till 23:00. In the other side of the entrance there is a pharmacy (just in case.....). 50 meters from the entrance to south east you get into Plaza Mayor from which you get the south to the Latin quarter (great restaurants) and the Chinese area right afterwards. 50 meters to the south you have closed "market" for delicious food stuff, quite expensive, but a real gastronomic festival. 700 meters to north west through beatiful old narrow streets you get to the Royal Palace. About 300 meters to the east down the main street you reach a hop-on-hop-off bustop. Most recommended as a first step to get acquainted with the city center. 500 meters later you reach the Puerta Del Sol magnificent Plaza and its Sol Metro station. You might take a 500 meters walk to the north and you reach the Opera and its Metro station. Breakfast was great for the parents and relatively cheap, but with great value for money.
We could have got much cheaper prices if we handled reservations a little bit earlier and did some study as to various discounts existed at that time. We had to extend our stay by few days and we had to do it almost in real time. As it was the pick of the hot seazon, prices were hot too. Still, I think we got in total a great value for our money, even though it concerned with a lot of money.
