We nearly cancelled our booking after seeing comments on trip advisor, but went with it!to be honest, I could see why some of the bad comments were there, furniture tired, needs a good update, uncomfortable bed and dodgy bedding(shaggy old blankets in 2011..and €110 per night..whats all that about!)it wasnt dirty as such..but you really shouldnt find hairs on €120 a night in my humble opinion!yes..it was noisy..but thats location for you, for me it was acceptable and not a problem!the only gripe I have..and maybe its just me..but why do hotels,of any nature insist on having glass doors..in this case with a nice see thro panel..with no lock on the door!yes my partner and I are close..but not that close!it always upsets me immensley and I wouldnt stay there again for that reason, but thats just me!oh..no kettle/basic tea making and the tv is just bog standard spanish, despite the blurb about super duper any language available!fantastic location, but if on a budget prob better off going hostal €60 per night as you will be dissapointed its not better for the money. Glass see thro door on the bathroom with no lock..ARRRGGGHHH!if you are ok paying mega bucks for hotels, then this may seem a bargain and you wouldnt gripe too much, but if you are trying to pay double what you would normally and expect something a bit special..stick to € 60 a night, there are places to stay of equal quality in madrid at half the price!

I loved the hotel! It reminded me of the hotels that I usually chose when I travel to San Francisco. I love the room decor--the design is very urban and chic. The staff was very friendly --I only speak a little Spanish and I appreciated their patience with my broken attempts to use it! The hotel was in the area that I wanted to visit--near the museums and shopping. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again when I return to Madrid.

location could not be better. noisy - too many young student groups which should be mentioned in hotel description - bad ilumination in bathroom - overall the hotel does not give a clean impression - mail staff considerably more friendly than female staff. some rooms are way too small for a 4*.

Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Original room was smaller than a closet. When I asked for a different room the receptionist was able to give my friend and I a much bigger and nicer room. Unfortunately, it was facing the front of hotel which was on a very busy street. It was extremely noisy and my friend and I had to wear ear plugs in order to sleep through the night.

Madrid was wonderful, We were in a group of 10 and found something for everyone. The Location is perfect, Right in the heart of it all and within easy walking distance of many of the sights. The staff were very helpful, welcoming and polite. We would definately book this hotel again. Rooms are probably due for some decoration but are clean and comfortable.

Excellent, central location, right in the heart of Madrid. Housekeeping standards are low. Our room was not clean, with dust and grime in corners. The sheets on the (rock hard) bed were dirty and stained. These were changed at our request. Breakfast was disorganized, with staff slow to replennish supplies. The internet connection was poor. We had to go to Starbucks to access our emails. The most objectionable feature of this hotel was the barely opaque glass bathroom doors, which did not close properly. Personally, I prefer more privacy when using the wc! If you value cleanliness, privacy in the toilet and want to read your emails, consider staying at another hotel!
