Near to the subway, air conditionig, equipped kitchen, everything clean
Small bathroom ( it's clean though!!! )
Nice hostel, helpful staff, wi-fi in the rooms,
the hostel was quite cheap and not to far away from the metro stop. They offered towels if you didn't have one as well as locks which was nice. They also were able to accommodate for my early mornings with breakfast which was quite nice
The main staff guy was a bit abrupt, and assumed that if you didn't know spanish or french that you were in general a bit slow, so had to wait through explanations that I didn't need. AS well the bathrooms were ok, the female showers were really tiny and I ended up using the handicapped toilet as otherwise my stuff got soaked when i had a shower. Also, there are only 4 rooms and they are all attached so you hear everything in every room in the hostel, so made some nights hard to get to sleep.
staff is nice
The hostel has a nice common area with a big TV and there is a nice kitchen with enough equipment.
It's a bit far from the city centre so you'd better catch a metro or bus. The room is too small so there is hardly any free space on the floor. There is only 1 toilet for girl, and the floor there is always wet. I asked one of the staffs if I could leave my luggage here after I check out. And he said I'll have to pay 12euros for the service and I can leave my luggage there for 24 hours. Let me tell you, you can bring your luggage to the station and keep it there with just 3.5 euros!
Bed was comfortable, place to cook food, wifi good.
Very cramped and loud but not a problem if you are only there for a night or two and just need a bed.
Cheapest offer in Barcelona I assume. Situated nicely, Parc Guel and Sagrada Familia are within walking distance, metro station is in 5 min. The host, Sergio, was very helpfull and nice. Also ery nice italian restaurant uphill around the main street next to the hostel, with cheap food and wonderfull host, works at night.
Noisy. Technically there are no rooms, only very thin cubicle division, so you are actually sleeping in one room with 20 people and if windows are opened with a bit of a sreet too, so don't forget your ear plugs. It was very hot too, at least in our "room" even with windows opened (by the way other rooms don't have any windows at all).
the airco doesn't work good, the kitchen was to small, bathroom far to small and no space to dry your towel
Nice workers to give you information about the city and attractions. Nice kitchen and wifi.
Small space, and the room is easily influenced by outside. You should prepare a lock for locker, but the size may not fit. And rent a lock during stay is 2 euros.
Nice staff and great kitchen with all the tools I need.
A little bit far from metro.
One of the staff members, Alfonse was fantastic, he went above and beyond his job description and was always happy to help with anything guests needed. The hostel is close to the Metro and Park Guell.
The room was tiny and the walls were just lattice at the top so you could hear absolutely everything going on in the other rooms. One night there was a group of noisy people carrying on until past 1am, despite the fact that there is a ´Silence curfew´ between 10pm and 1am. I asked the night receptionist to speak to them, which he did but they were only quiet for about 5 minutes and the receptionist was right next door so he would have been able to hear it all. Lovely Alfonse came to the rescue the next night after complaints from guests and worked a double shift to ensure that there was no noise. There were only 5 toilets and showers to be shared by approx 40 people, and the showers were on 20 second timers. I walked from my room to the bathroom, to the kitchen and back, and the soles of my feet were black, despite the fact that they supposedly have a cleaner every day. There were also cockroaches in the kitchen.
we've been in this hostel for two nights and we enjoied any bit of it. the host was very nice and helpful, gave us advices about places to see. the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was great. thank you for this good experience !
Really welcoming staff. Nice place, clean and calm. Brakfast is good. Thanks a lot for your warm welcome!
Good localization clean place
- I've booked 4 persons room with aircondition, and I get 8 persons room, and the aircondition was working only for 15 minutes. -It was very noisy. People where talking and taking showers almost for all night.
Not a real room and can hear everything
It is really very clean and quite cheap! Location is also good, close to everything.
It is very very very small and the rooms without window are a little bit claustrophobic. Having one computer could be nice. No charm, which is a pity :(
The wonderfull and polite staff always ready to help Kitchen with everything you need
Lot of noise due to young and rude back-packed travelers and toilets sometimes dirty for the same reason
Staff is great.
One male shower, small rooms, dining room is not comfort..
The vibe of the place was really good when I was there; people were very friendly and it was easy for someone travelling alone (like me) to make friends. The staff were very approachable, and while it's not near the centre of Barcelona by any stretch of the imagination, it's near a metro station, supermarkets, a bunch of restaurants and also Parc Güell, which was a really nice spot (one of my faves in Barcelona).
The place is very small, and in the dorms we were constantly tripping over each other. There aren't enough powerpoints for people to use nor enough toilets (one for each gender plus a disabled one). For me, I enjoyed my time there enough that I took thus in my stride, but honestly it was a nuisance! Also, breakfast wasn't included, which is always sad.
