Value for money Location, and just a short walk from the train station. Quiet room on 5th floor at the back. Windows that open. Cleanliness.
Balcony looking onto the plaza. Pleasant room.Friendly staff.
Difficulty getting to the hotel. No soap or shampoo
good situation, very pleasent staff, food and coffee very nice
the bed, very hard and uncomfortable
Perfect location, friendly staff, close to several good restaurants.
Bed a little bit hard, but slept well.
Location great for Roman ruins and on attractive square. Close to train station and shopping Good price from your company as a repeat user of the site. Attractive reception area and outdoor cafe on square.
Staff rudeness. Stated would not allow me to take tea as more expensive than coffee in continental breakfast offer but I could have tea with only one pastry - cold croissant direct from fridge with no jam. Then wouldn't bring tea because not 12 o'clock. Refused to talk to me about it. Just ignored me with hostility. Our room LEFT OPEN after cleaning finished! Asked us to vacate room early even though we had12 o'clock in writing. Advertised free wifi BUT wifi ended at 4pm. Pointless for travellers. Dark rooms. Soap impossible to use from cheap sachet and no soap dish to help in shower. Slippery shower - ended up sliding onto controls and turning on cold water each day - dangerous.
Lovely building in the heart of Tarragona's old town.
At first they gave me a very depressive room with a window facing towards a wall. I had to work with booking.com because the hotel staff (there was no receptionist, only a waiter available) wasn't understanding my request. After an hour of roaming calls, the hotel staff finally gave me a market square side room at a higher price. The room had a fair amount of light, and was not as depressive. The spring beds weren't helpful but were ok.
Ideal location in one of the main squares of this amazing old town. A god place from which to walk around all the sights.Lots of restaurants on the square, which is very convenient, but remember that the locals eat and socialize late so don't expect an early night. Hotel breakfast was basic but good eneough. Most expensive option was 3E50, so don't pay the 5E advance order! We upgraded to a room overlooking the square. Perhaps other rooms were quieter but we enjoyed the view (and people-watching from the balcolny).
Location in centre of old town, close to Roman remains. Square with restaurants. Clean. Good value. Underground car park right outside. Pleasant efficient staff.
Hard to find, poor directions. Bed too hard. Have the Spanish/Catalans never heard of memory foam mattresses?
Very central location on a nice, lively plaza. Very clean facility and rooms. Would recommend to others.
The location of the hotel was perfect. Our sat nav found the adjacent public parking easily but without it we would have struggled.there are lots of places in the square to eat and drink but better ones in the streets around. The girls at Kember helped us choose wonderful tapas and local wine, a real delight.Hotel is very clean and comfortable, breakfast in the hotels restaurant next door was simple but fine.
Don't forge to get your car parking ticket stamped for half price parking otherwise very expensive. We had a room overlooking the square which we loved but late night and early morning noise might upset lit sleepers, for us it added to the atmosphere.
Very uncomfortable bed
Great location on the square at the bottom of the Old Town. Right in the middle of the bars and restaurants but double glazing keeps the noise out. Comfy beds, good bathrooms with powerful shower.
If people in adjoining rooms are thoughtless, you can get quite a bit of noise from them as internal walls are far from soundproof.
Good location and comfortable and clean room friendly staff
One person on desk in the morning who also was serving breakfast. She was doing her best but was rushed off her feet. Also the 35 euro room which I booked on your site turned out to be 45 euros by the time I checked out. I had no extras so presumably this was local taxes. Still good value but more than I was led to believe.
Room a bit small but ok
Parking was really expensive. Staff was at both ends of the spectrum some where wonderful and some not so much.
Purely like the location for its centrality to the old town, Roman ruins and beach. However don't expect it to get quiet before 2-3 am on a Friday or Saturday night!
The staff we pretty non engaging. Didn't offer any tourism suggestions or anything. Worse thing was the Air Con was very unstable. Doesn't work if windows or open, but the windows are difficult to close. Then you can only turn the a/c on for a 1/2 hour or 1 hr at a time, which made for hot uncomfortable nights.
Staff extremely helpfull, situation excellent for seeing the sights.Strongly recimmended.
Lovely hotel in a great location, Placa de la Font, very central for the old town. We stayed there during the final few days of Santa Tecla 2014. We had a balcony overlooking the square.. brilliant! The general hubbub of the square with it's cafes/restaurants and bars is very well diminished by the glazing on the balcony doors, but light sleepers might want to take ear plugs, as I did. The view from our balcony of all of the processions and events was amazing. If anyone thinks about going there over Santa Tecla, be aware, processions with lots of crowds, firecrackers and drums/wind instruments and bands etc. can start and finish from there in the early hours of the morning.. between midnight and 4am.. and it's under your balcony! Industrial earplugs and double glazing couldn't keep any of that out.. but then, it's an important festival in Tarragona.. we were guests and felt privileged to be in such close proximity and comfort. They can then start again from there from 7am. We had no idea about all of this (fairly late booking and no research done) but, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! We had an amazing time, partied with the locals and the hotel was perfect for what we wanted. Super clean, lovely staff and loads of hot water and a deep metal bath for soothing the aching bones and feet from walking all day. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Tarragona.
location, restaurants and bars very close. Balcony of mediterranean and romans ruins etc also very close and helpfull staff.
the location is second to none, the Young staff were absolutely brilliant and nothing was too much for them. we were there during fiesta week and the double glazing cut out all the noise that went on until dawn.
the WiFi only works at the reception area, not in your room or on the terrace. Air con sometimes non-existent, breakfast consists of a Hard bread roll spread with a tomato paste, croissant and a coffee, if you don't like coffee you have to pay extra for tea. the beds were the hardest we've ever encountered, we had to lay the pillow bolsters along the mattress and sleep on that, the hotel said that all the rooms were the same but they did give us extra pillow bolsters.
The hotel is right on a square with lots of restaurants and very near the main shopping area. It wasnt noisy at night and we slept really well. If you've hired a car the car park is perfectly placed under the square ( although a bit pricey). We only stayed a night but it was perfectly good as a decent place to stay en route.
Excellent location near to all the sights. Good priced restaurants and bars on the doorstep. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Air conditioning not working so a fan was provided in the bedroom it was extremely hot weather during our stay and we found it hard to sleep. If the air conditioning had been working our stay here would have been a perfect.
Location, staff, cleanness.
It was hot and the air-conditioner was not working properly. Internet not available in the bedrooms, only in the lobby area.
Great location and facilities good
Air conditioning in rooms not working, made for a difficult night
