The hotel is right by the beach. It has easy acces for elderly or disabled people with lifts to all floors and few steps. The restaurant food was excellent.

The hotel was in a wonderful location right on the promenade facing the sea. The staff were always smiling, helpful and efficient even when faced with a large party of of French boule players! The bedroom was good as was the buffet breakfast. There was also a rooftop pool surrounded by ample sun loungers. In front of the hotel was a eating and lounging area with quick and pleasant service. The beds were a little hard! When the party of French boule players arrived the hotel restaurant became overwhelmed. But quickly cleared and ok if we staggered our arrival until they were finished. Our room was on the extreme side of the hotel but when the above party had a late night party, although we were hardly affected, many residents complained of the noise.

The area is a great venue to go travelling by car along the coast or up towards the French border. The local people and hotel staff are very friendly and pleasant. Hotel Planamar is a very good hotel for a family holiday, being located on the beach is a plus, however due to the 'high rise apartment blocks' adjacent/directly beside Hotel Planamar that block the sunlight every day around 3pm for approximately 1-2 hours, you have to move along the beach if you want to stay in the sunlight.

I liked everything about this hotel from the staff who were very friendly to the location that was right on the beach to the room that was spotless clean with a nice terrace overlooking the sea. The roof was also very relaxing with an amazing view, the pool was small but fit for purpose and heated. Breakfast was also adequate and with a variety of choices. I would stay in this hotel again for sure. Nothing, all was great

the view over the sea while having breakfast The bad smell of the kitchen of a big hotel in front of the room balcony was coming in the room so we could not enjoy the balcony. For a three star hotel price should be lower than 100 euro the night.

Friendly helpful staff. Great location on the seafront with no worries of traffic passing infront of hotel. Standard accommodation lacks some basic facililities, no mirror in the bedroom. Bathroom too small with no hairdryer and not much space to store toiletries.

Excellent rapport qualité/prix et surtout une extrème gentillesse de l'ensemble du personnel. En demi pension, nous avons pu apprécier la cuisine certe simple mais variée ainsi que la présence d'un menu végétarien.

L'hotel est trés bien situé en bord de plage et à 2 pas du centre ville. Hotel rénové chambres confortables, douche agréables, propreté, équipements. Le personnel très aimable et à votre écoute. Le petit déjeuné très varié et copieux salé ou sucré. Insonorsation légère comme beaucoup de constructions en Espagne. Garage obligatoire payant en saison.

realmente mi motivo en planamar de platja d'aro fue por escapada romantica y el lugar , el hotel y el personal nos lo ofrecio, nos alojaron en una habitacion nueva y fue espectacular. Me encanto , y el ambiente familiar que habia me gusto para repetir con mis hijas...Enhorabuena por ofrecernos buena comida , buena estancia y hacer la estancia mas relajada y romantica....Os lo agradezco.

enfin un petit hotel familial, accueil parfait, le personnel à l'écoute de toutes vos demandes, chambre propre, la mer vue du balcon, repas du soir avec un service impeccable, petit déjeuner copieux, ce 2 étoiles en mériterait 2 autres. Nous y retournerons.

Nette kamer en uitzicht op zee, rustig s'nachts geen lawaai. Ontbijt was gevarieerd en lekker, bediening was uitstekend. Het matras van het bed is aan vernieuwing toe.

Mycket bra läge, nära till stranden. Fin utsikt. Välstädat på rummet. Personalen var trevlig. Från onsdag var hotellet fullbelagt. Detta passade inte oss. Den franska pensionärsgruppen var mycket högljudd och störande. Om gruppen hade hyrt hela hotellet borde vi fått information om detta vid vår bokning. Musiken särskilt torsdagkväll var mycket störande för oss. Om vi vetat detta hade vi tagit ett lugnare hotell. T.ex. La terrassa eller Costa Brava.Vi kände oss inte respekterade, franska gruppen fick göra som de ville och vi blev störda. Det förstörde vår semester till en del, då vi blev störda på natten och vi kunde inte äta vår frukost och middag på hotellet I lugn och ro. Vilket gjorde att vi för att få lugn och ro gick ut på staden och åt middag. Det gick även ett brandlarm en morgon då vi rusade ut.Ingen informerade om vad som hänt eller att det var falsklarm. Dåligt!
