Location is excellent - right on the beach. I was kitesurfing and it couldn't have been better located. Food was excellent value for money also, not fantastic but always plenty and always something nice.

The location was excellent and the main reason I booked this hotel. I went there to kitesurf and the hotel is directly on the beach with access via a private door from the locker room. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good. I was there in Early May and it was very quiet but I had a great time kiting and consider this hotel and the meals I had there to be fantastic value! If you are windsurfing/kitesurfing its an excellent choice - I had some sessions when the forecast was not good but the wind turned out to be very good. If I hadn't been as close to the beach as I was I may have missed these session.

Its a little dated and I dare say there are better general hotels in El Medano for facilities etc. but its a great value beach front hotel.

Very nice location, near beach and montana roja. Relaxed atmosphere, nice garden, good service.

The price is a bit high, it is more a 2 star hotel. Breakfast is more about quantity than quality.

This hotel is conveniently located on the edge of El Medano village near spectacular Montana Roja, we took a room with a sea view and a balcony and we were not sorry a bit (there was a magnificent mountain and ocean view from out there, you can see the sunset and welcome the dawn - looks very romantic!!!). Something that I liked about the hotel: excellent location - 5-10 min to the airport by taxi and you don't hear any planes taking off; 10 meters to the beach; the wind very strong (you can sometimes hear its howling at night), but not always, and it didn't seem to disturb much; in the room you can hear the surf pretty well even with window closed, but I personally perceived that as a bonus - really nerves calming; room servise very sweet but they don't change towels if at least one is taken to the beach; the hotel design is great, so is the front yard full of cactus varieties; breakfasts were not bad overall but the same every day (eggs and bacon)

Something that I didn't really like: we couldn't manage with the safe to keep the valuables, we had to use it as a storage space for fruit and cookies, a small fridge would be great anyway; the floor carpeting in the room was so faded and footworn I did not dare to step on it with bare feet; no sockets to charge your gadgets (the only TV socket didn't seem to work properly); though the room was on the 1st floor, hot water in the shower didn't work really well but the water in the sink ran perfectly well; neigbour toilet flushing noises; no WiFi in rooms, free WiFi only near the pool, so everyone could hear my Skype chat. Overall impression: not value for money 98 euros for DBL (paid 60 for 3star DBL and better quality, Costa Blanca) - I think I would stay in Sur Tenerife again only if they lower the price

The situation. Martin, the bartender, he is very professional and kind. Elena from the front office was very helpful.

Some of the front office staff not helpful at all. They are not able to provide basic information of the Medano. Found a nail in the bathroom at the arrival.

    Beds comfortable

Location of my single room overlooked the road, it was noisy and the view was ugly overlooking the back of the hotel also kept awake at night due to flights arriving and leaving the airport also the noise of bottles being emptied from the bottle back outside the back of the hotel

We had one night's stay here en route to La Gomera. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The rooms were basic but fine. It was a good location. Dinner was buffet style and plentiful. However the breakfast was absolutely outstanding and they catered for us very early (at 7am) because we had to leave for the ferry.

There was nothing to dislike as such - it was what it was, a budget hotel very suitable for an overnight stay.

Location is excellent right on the beach on the edge of El Medano, free parking for guests. Close to airport but aircraft noise acceptable.

Outdated shabby interior. No fridge in room (nowhere to keep water or cold drinks). Top floor balconies have sea view but high walls so you can't sit and enjoy the view. Breakfast uninspiring -- for the price of 100 euros per night you would expect at least fresh juices, not flavoured squash. Very limited wifi coverage (not in rooms).
