Very good,
Score from 592 reviews
“ Excellent staff. Prefessional and eager to help. The pool area is very nice. Breakfast is "rich" and of good quality while the same is true for the hotel's lunch and dinner options. It's relatively close to the city (no more than 10' by car), however you do need a car for easy access to the center, as the hotel is located at an - excellent - suberb. ”

The room was huge, TV had channels in English, wifi worked well, and reception staff was very helpful. Chose to add breakfast buffet to my stay and feel like it was worth the 9 Euros. The hotel is not in the center of the city. I had a rental car, but it would be a hassle to stay here if I really wanted to see the sights for a few days. Also, the bar/restaurant staff were extremely slow and unresponsive. I sat at the bar for a while before anyone bothered to take my order. Food took forever. Had to ask for napkins, condiments, etc.one by one.

Kingsize bed! Far from the city and the shuttle bus only goes once a day, at 9.30 hour. Difficult wifi connection (every time you lock your phone you have to connect again with the wifi system) Swimming pool only open from June, while it was 30 degrees in May. Ayre is a big hotel company so the hotel is also very big. This is not negative, but different then expect when you see the pictures

We reached The Ayre Hotel by car travelling from the South in an extremely heavy downpour of rain. Previous written directions were unhelpful so would suggest just driving into the centre of Cordoba and head north looking out for the suburb of El Brilliante. Keeping a close eye will be rewarded by yellow Hotel signs which were crucial in taking us to the Hotel. Hotel situation on the northern edge of the city was actually very convenient. Although we had a car we preferred to take the No.10 Bus which arrives every 10 minutes or so from within 100 yards of the Hotel. Very quiet and pleasant upmarket area with nice grounds etc. The Staff were excellent. All were friendly and helpful. Reception staff spoke good English. Room was good although with marble floor one could hear next door guests- although for us this was not a problem. We didn't eat at the hotel, preferring to do so in town ! We stayed there in March and received excellent Off Season rates. However when for personal reasons we decided to leave one day early the Reception Lady kindly offered and initiated a reduction from the total bill to take account of the early departure. Very Welcome. Yes I would recommend The Ayre Hotel and would rather stay a little out of town than in the middle of traffic , noise etc inevitable in the City Centre . The tv only shows Spanish programs (Yes I know - Surprise, Surprise) although one could find cnn From the point of view of the English Tourist it would add to enjoyment if a few other English Speaking programs could be added to the satellite tv Offering

Nice grounds, free and easy parking, friendly and professional greeting on arrival. Rooms nicely furnished. The noise! We could hear plumbing working from the rooms around us, and hear people talking in the neighbouring rooms until around midnight and from early in the morning. Needs either more soundproofing, or at least notices to other guests to be more courteous. Might sound picky, but a few bad night's sleep quickly spoils a holiday.

Cleanliness and the possibility of staying with 2 children in a room. The pool should be opened up the end of October, specially if you travel with children. Cordoba is a very hot town and the weather still nice to pool up the end of October.

We loved the fact that the hotel was near the city center (can easily be reached by bus no. 10) while being in a quiet hilly neighborhood. Parking is free of charge and the gardens with outdoor pool are just lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

Free parking, beautiful garden and pool, spacious room and a big, big bed. Bus station is near the hotel and a 10-15 min. Ride to the city is some 2€ Rooms need a bit of refurbishing - they're clean and spacious, but you can see they were made in the late 1980'S.

The very friendly and professional staff. The well tended garden and pool. The breakfast. The quiet surrounding area (in a residential area at the outskirts of Córdoba) The children (10 y.) had a very good time! Well, the room, although spacious and clean, had a rather impersonal and slightly outdated accomodation/decoration. Indeed these are mere details.

Situated on the outter portion of the city. There was room at the property, meaning they were not building locked. They actually had grass and room to park vehicles and the parking was free. The room was nothing fancy, TV and beds. Plenty of room for the four of us in the room. Food and drinks were available but we didn't try them. There was a pool. The AC worked but not fast or cool enough for me but it did work . The pool hours could have been better, but they were average, 10-8.

The room was lovely and spacious; the grounds and facilities were good; the dining room and kitchen staff wonderful We experienced two problems with staff other than the friendly and courteous in the dining room - the pool guy was reluctant to give out towels forty minutes prior to the closing of the pool (!); he kept telling me it closed at 8pm and in the end I had to be short with him saying 'it's not closed now!' And one of the reception staff insisted on flirting with my husband each time we were at the front desk (!) If he hadn't have made fun of her it could have been most uncomfortable for me or even both of us and was totally unacceptable

Lovely grounds and pool, large junior suite for only 74 Euros, ample free parking, excellent bathroom, mini-fridge in room with free mineral water daily. Out of town in a residential area, with no eateries nearby.8 Euro taxi ride to town centre. Hotel caters largely for overnight coach parties. They get to eat dinner indoors in air-conditioned comfort. You get to eat dinner outdoors. Tables set on the lawn. No shade, but lots of insects. Evening temperature was 38 degrees when we were there in late June. August must be hell. Complain, and reception show no interest and appear to think they don't have to try. Walls paper thin, and we could clearly hear a conversation at normal voice level in the next room. The screaming child upstairs arrived on our final night. Don't bother with breakfast for 10 Euros. Its a coach party scrum. Very disappointing. Won't be staying there again.

Good location, good local bus service for access to city centre. Pool was not due to open until June, but it was open in May due to the very warm weather, very much appreciated. Noise from other bedrooms, better sound proofing required.

Excellent location when travelling by car. Easy to find and free parking are a bonus. If you want to leave your car behind it is an inexpensive taxi fare to the Mesquita. The staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant. There is not great sound proofing so sounds of walking and moving furniture from the room above can be disturbing. Unfortunately our general very positive experience at the hotel was dampened by seeing a very distressed, wet, cold and obviously hungry dog running around the carpark wanting someone for support. There were hundred of people coming and going on a busy Saturday afternoon with all sorts of celebrations and everyone seemed to be oblivious to its distress. Surely Spain has some sort of humanitarian agency for animals in distress that the hotel could have contacted.

I went with my wife as a romantic trip (not honeymoon). Our room was huge. A 2x2m french bed and some couch, and there was still place. Very quiet and nice place. Staff was ok, just one old man that won't attend us our questions, and still I don't know why. The breakfast was buffet, but not very good, at least not as good as a four stars hotel should have. The juice was "out of the brick" and not even a good one. The fruit was some pineapple, melón and watermelon from the fridge. One morning there was no hot water in the room, and we were 5 days with the same sheets. The offer free parking, but one day it was full and we had to park outside.
