No wifi at apartment (only at the lobby), some staffs not willing to help (not friendly). No air-con at rooms (only one at living room of the apartment). Very noisy (till 3am) as very close to the tapas bar. Just had 2 times cleaning room services for our 5nights stay.
The location is excellent in the heart of Granada. The room is big, spacious and clean
We stayed for three days including the weekend, we couldn't go to sleep on Sat from the noise coming from outside the street and the pubs around. the furniture looks a bit old and nothing like the pics you see on the website.
Perfect position for exploring granada when staying at this property
Seriously couldn't have cooked a meal with the kitchen facilities provided.
Our apartment was lovely and spacious, tasteful modern decor. Location excellent, less than 5 mins walk from gran via de colon, reyes catolicos and plaza nueva, cathedral. Calle Navas, the popular tapas/restaurant street, is just a couple of minutes. It's just a nice place in a slightly hidden away spot but really close to attractions.
We'd paid a few euros extra for breakfast. It was a completely unmanned buffet. There were a few fresh bread rolls (nothing special 'though), which was the highlight (!). The automated coffee dispensing machine dispensed god awful coffee, and the automated juice machine spat out some completely unnatural sugary stuff. I like my breakfasts and this was very disappointing indeed. There might have been some cereal on offer, can't remember, and there were one or two other things like jam/marmalade and a couple of choices of teabag, but .....please!!! Not a single piece of fruit .., and perhaps a slice of ham (reformed or otherwise) and/or egg. I mean we paid for this breakfast! If it had just been included, might not have bothered protesting. Apparently for a few more euros each we could have had a better breakfast ... Receptionist agreed it was disappointing and blamed recortes (cutbacks due to current crisis). I think if they're gonna offer a breakfast like that, it's best to offer nothing at all. Self- respect please. And the breakfast room was a bit small and pokey (I'm sure a quality breakfast would have gone some way to ignore this fact). The narrow road the hotel entrance looks onto is more like a nice wide path for strolling up and down, but unfortunately gets its fair share of traffic. Annoying but typical of Spain and its just part and parcel. Coffee-maker included according to confirmation, but was nowhere to be seen, so had to ask, twice, for one. There was no tea- towel / drying-up towel in kitchen and we managed to forget to ask. So a really spacious and nice apartment with a kitchen, but not properly equipped. I think they must have just not checked very well. Small things make a big difference. Just shows that you need a god check-list and to go through it religiously, everytime.
The location was excellent, central, a short walk to cathedral and busy shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. Within walking distance of most of the main sites. The front desk staff were charming and helpful, but couldn't satisfy some of our complaints because the suites are simply not well equipped or set up.
The first "suite" we were shown was a medium-sized bedroom. When we said we'd paid for a suite with a living area we were moved to a large suite, but at the front of the building which an extremely noisy street outside. Although spacious, the suite was shabby verging on dirty with an extremely ill equipped kitchen, sparsely furnished, and generally depressing. Compared to other suites hotels in Spain we stayed at this was the most expensive but by far the worst value for money. I'd discourage anybody from staying at Portago Suites.
Staff were very friendly.
Very dirty rugs. Apartment advertised with kitchenette but too basic to use. No tea towels or sponge provided.
